Re: Using the mouse for Editing

I read that but it's based on your being inside Audacity during recording time but that's not my situation. I set up a digital recorder (an Olympus LS10) and let it run through an entire session; some 2 hours or more. I then offload the recording to my PC where I get to work on it with Audacity. If...

Re: Distortion in IMA ADPCM, suspect block header issue

However, in Audacity block header: (DE 39 4F 00); DE and 39 are not belong to the PCM data that I use to generate ADPCM. If "Voice3011152932_PCM2bytes" is your file and "Sine-1KHz-16x16-5s_SWgenerated (IMA ADPCM)" is the Audacity exported file, the headers of those two files (be...

Re: Plugin crashes

Thanks, I added a bug report http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1270 . In my testing, if you use the Manage button in any of the effects, then Options... and set Buffer Size to "8", this may allow you to use the effect by just applying it, as long as you don't play audio whil...

Re: Nothing in the manual is what I see with the program ope

Ok, took me a bit but I know my software version is version 47.1A. At least that's what it says on the mini-disc. Is there some place else I can find that info? The software came with the unit. I explained this in your previous topic. 47.1A will be the CD version number, nothing to do with the Auda...

Re: Windows 8.1 Problems

I've been having problems with the newest version of Audacity. If you really see "Welcome to Audacity 2.xx" then you have a bogus version of Audacity that may be harming your computer. We don't recognise the behaviour you mention. I recommending uninstalling the Audacity version you have,...

Re: No sound in exported FLAC or WAV - MP3 = ok

VLC just displays "Disable" and "Track 1" under Audio > Audio Track. "Stereo Mode" under Audio is grayed-out. On the MP3 it is enabled and displays options to change the mode. So you have a mono file WAV or FLAC? Is that what you intended? In VLC on Linux, the informat...

Re: FFMPEG library installed but Audacity cannot import m4a

PC files concern pkg-config. I prefer to leave default setting when config make ecc and so pkg-config often does not find installed libraries because it look for them in /usr/share/pkgconfig instead of /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig where often are installed. Making a symbolic link it works. As a double-...

Re: Nothing in the manual is what I see with the program ope

Also, if you connected the USB device after you launched Audacity, do Transport > Rescan Audio Devices in the Audacity menu bar, so that Audacity can detect the newly added device. (I don't have Win10, so I'm guessing you can right-click on the speaker icon to bring-up the audio control panel.) You ...
