Re: Error: not well formed (invalid token) at line 4303
HELP ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE. It would help us to do that if you gave us the information requested in the pink panel at the top of the page. ;) This was a totally one off recording. I accidentally hit the emergency cut off power switch on the wall, thereby turning EVERYTHING in my studio off. Audacity ...

Re: I accidentally activated some container(?) [SOLVED]
I am on Windows 10. Audacity 2.1.1 portable If you are using http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/audacity_portable that is not our project. They use a modified installer of Audacity that makes extra registry changes. The page on which they state their modifications appears to be outdated. Supp...

Re: Hanging and crashing
What does the Audacity crash report say in Applications/Utilities/Console.app? Does it mention a "spinlock"? If so you may need to record then export only one track at a time and only have one Audacity project open at a time. Quit and restart Audacity after recording and exporting the only...

Re: Preview and Apply Multiple Effects
I tried my waves plug in the audio editor that is part of Premiere. It works fine there, and the level meters of Premiere display the same levels as the level meters in the plugin. I wonder why with Audacity there is a difference between the two level displays. the plugin is displaying the plugin o...

Re: RMS plugin for Mac
In other words, if you are using Audacity 2.1.1, click Analyze > Manage... then select and enable WaveStats.
If you are using 2.1.2rc1 for testing, "Manage" is called "Add / Remove Plug-ins".

Re: Casette player to laptop connection
Reading through some of the posts it seems like its a no-no to connect player to laptop. It depends what you want to achieve. It is quite common for the "mic" input on a laptop to be a "compatible" input that recognises stereo line level input as well as a cheap computer mic. If...
Re: No Sound
The Audio Device Info seems to be corrupted. Notice it says that Selected recording device is "7 - Microsoft Sound Mapper - Output" but Device ID: 7 is "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) (loopback) Host name: Windows WASAPI". When you select MME host then click in the Play...

Re: will not record stereo
When you have obtained Audacity from us at http://audacityteam.org/download/windows, go into Windows Sound, "Recording" tab, and make sure the Yamaha is set to stereo Default Format. Please see How can I record in stereo?.

Re: DOUBT ::: Multitrack Recording PRESONUS AudioBox 44VSL
My audacity is the 2.0.6 version and have a PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL ( https://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-44VSL ) which make the connection to the computer by a USB cable. I write a stereo track using two channels of 44VSL, each channel goes to one side of the stereo. In the "recording ...

I guess I'll follow your directions and save up the next few months for the ability to pay Tech support. How foolish of me to think I could get help from a manufacrturer's web site or their forum. Quite obviously it's only for those who have tech savvy. Forgive me my foolishness. I believe we have ...
