Re: Issue with "Export Multiple" Function
I assume you have multiple Audacity tracks on top of each other that don't all start at time zero but are using labels to set the file names for export multiple instead of the track names. If so the added silence is an Audacity bug. To export multiple by labels you can Edit > Select > All then Track...

Re: how to reset vertical scale
Or SHIFT + right-click to reset the range of the vertical scale to 0 Hz to the maximum for the sample rate (so 0 to 22050 Hz for 44100 Hz rate).

Re: Cannot reset vertical scale without deleting cfg file
There is a reset SHIFT + right-click which sets the range of the vertical scale to 0 Hz to the maximum for the sample rate (so 0 to 22050 Hz for 44100 Hz rate). There is no modified click to reset to the default range set in Preferences. Do you want to "vote" for that idea? In 2.1.1 you ca...

Re: Accessing Manual from Audacity Help
Thanks, Bill. This isn't a general problem on Windows 10. If you drag a text file or one of the shipped plugins into Audacity then press "Help", do the links in that Help window work? And do the Download buttons in "Libraries" Preferences work? What anti-virus application are you...

Re: Auto split dialogue file, no cut in 1/2 words?
Does the attached help? It is an experimental improvement by Steve to the existing Sound Finder. It can set a minimum (but not a maximum) label length for the detected areas of sound. You will then have to Export Multiple manually based on the created labels. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Do...

Re: error opening sound device
For some general help, see this FAQ: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_errors.html#sound_device . As Koz says, we can't help you in detail unless you give the make and model number of the recording device selected in Audacity and describe how the guitar and mic are connected to that device. G...

Re: Audacity Skipping/Glitching When Recording
hey so i was reading my computer wrong it's 4GB Ram for the entire computer! running on Windows 7. do you think it could be a lack of memory? Audacity 2.1.1 does not record to memory, so lack of memory is one of the least likely reasons, unless you are trying to run games, video editors or other me...

Re: will not record stereo
I went to windows sound, recording tab. Default is "Microphone, USB Audio CODEC, Default Device". Did you follow the instructions you were already given? If not, click this blue link . In the page that appears in your web browser, look in the green box and carry those steps out. So, right...

Re: Accessing Manual from Audacity Help
Thanks for the good information. Local help is default, so the fact that audacity.cfg even says "Help=Local" suggests that preference was changed at some time. You can try reinstalling 2.1.1 but make sure "Reset Preferences" is enabled half way through the installation. Confirm t...
