We can't fix any bugs in obsolete versions of Audacity. You could uninstall 2.0.5 and try the "Ubuntu Handbook" 2.1.1 PPA from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/ ... u/audacity.

Re: How can I sync between Anvil and Audacity?
Please always tell us your version of Audacity and Windows (see the pink panel at the top of the page). Say exactly how you're recording playback. WASAPI or stereo mix, or loopback cable? See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Midi#Converting_from_MIDI_to_audio_formats for how to use Timidity to make...

Re: Audio Playback and Recording Blank on Setup
Windows 10 recognizes my sound device - I play music and record from a microphone. Audacity doesn't recognize anything. Use Audacity 2.1.1 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . If you upgraded the same machine from previous Windows make sure you go to the web site of the computer manufact...

Thanks for the crash report. Does disabling App Nap help? And can you try the "2.1.2 RC1 (for testing)" version from http://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html/ ? If there is any fix to be made we need to make it in that current code. What would be the simplest way to reproduce the problem ? Gale

Re: Editing chains - equalization scale?
Thanks, but unfortunately the bug with the "0 HZ" and then "021209302183 HZ" as the next one still occurs. Should I try downloading an earlier version of Audacity? Or is it a Windows 10 issue, perhaps? It's not a known issue. I am on Windows 10. What language is Windows running ...

Re: Grating crackle/static occasionally shows up in playback
If using the (hw:0,0) device you can try different settings in "Audio to buffer" in Audacity's Recording Preferences (that setting affects playback too). Under "Latency," I see that "Audio to buffer" is currently set to 100 milliseconds, and Latency correction is set t...

Re: Forgot to save...
If you still have the temp files then you should just be able to restart Audacity and it will show you an Automatic Crash Recovery dialogue from which you can recover the project. If you cannot recover the project that way and *if* this project is an unedited recording, you can use the process on Re...

Did you look in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app for any reports about Audacity there?
Right-click over Audacity and choose "Get Info". Does it help if you check (tick) the box "Prevent App Nap"?
