Re: Need Help Recovering File I Did Not Save
Hi. I am using Audacity Version 2.1.1 on Windows 10. After using Audacity for the last 5 years, I made the mistake of deleting an audio file that I had just recorded. After I deleted it, I then quit Audacity. I simply was not thinking! I attempted to recover the files using the instructions found h...

Re: how to record voice from headset and microphone simulten
Bear in mind you won't be able to edit your voice and the song separately unless VoiceMeeter has a way of putting them in separate tracks.
A better method is to import the music into Audacity then record from the mic input.

Re: Projects, tracks & songs
I ultimately want to 'Export Multiple' tracks, each with one song, from a single Project, for purposes of ultimately compiling and burning to a CD. I've read where I could add or copy/paste songs to individual tracks in a single Project for this purpose. But my question is, "Can I create a sin...

Re: Hard Limiter gone?
I tried the sinewave of 200Hz. After I never heard any differences by toggling between them, I inverted one of these tracks and mixed them togheter so only the differences between the tracks remain. The result was a silence... Even if I amplify that result, nothing there. I don't see how that can b...

Change Tempo won't help of course if dropouts are the cause of the shortness. Have you used stereo mix before? You could also have an audio driver problem.themickster wrote:XP and 2.1.2
I record stereo mix.

I think Nero can do multichannel AAC MP4 encoding. And there's a free command line version of it: http://www.nero.com/enu/company/about-nero/nero-aac-codec.php Audacity can export multi-channel AAC too if you add FFmpeg and use (external program) to export: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.p...

Re: Audacity exit problem
Either Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\audacity.cfg is read-only or otherwise you don't have permission to write to it, or you have a security product on your computer whose real-time scanning is interfering with Audacity. To check permissions on audacity.cfg, type %appdata% into the...
