Re: Interuption during recording

Shut Down the computer for a few seconds then reboot.

Change the USB cable and fit it tightly both ends if the problem persists.

Re: Weird sounds on playback

Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". Right-click in empty space and choose "Show disabled devices" then right-click again and check "Show Disconnected Devices". Do you see any other mic devices appear?

So use File > Import > Audio... , select both files and "Open". On the upper track, click the track name to left of the blue waves and choose "Make Stereo Track".

Re: Random track changes

Probably the first thing to try is recording at a more sensible default sample rate. Yeti is designed to record at 48000 Hz http://www.bluemic.com/yeti/#/specs/ . You're expecting the computer and the USB stream to handle four times more data than it needs to by choosing 192000 Hz, for no comparable...

Re: Isolate selection of a recording

If you want that selection from 3 seconds to 7 seconds for an exported file like WAV, File > Export Selected Audio... .

If you want that selection in a new track in the same project, Edit > Clip Boundaries > Split New.

Re: voice recording

Private messaging does not allow sound clip posting. I don't see an overwhelming reason for that inconvenience so as an experiment I've allowed all extensions that we permit in posts to be used in private messaging, except those in the "Flash files" group. You still need to have made suff...

Re: History window slowness

Yes if you are suspecting that the slow load of empty history after loading a 2 GB project started in 2.1.0, you could test that in your Vista machine. I think you should reboot any computer from time to time, even laptops. B and C shortcuts not working was a bug in 2.1.1, now fixed. It sounds like ...

Re: Weird sounds on playback

So your recording is too loud if anything (as expected) and the deterioration after 2 seconds is in the recording. Does this laptop have an internal mic or not? Exactly what is the full name of the recording device you have chosen in Device Toolbar ? If you have an internal mic, make sure you choose...

Re: Record/save tracks alignment issue

Did you play the tracks before exporting, and did you hear the same problem then? Speed drift can happen if you use different sound devices for recording and playback and the devices' clock speeds do not match. Or you are recording where project rate bottom left is different to the sample rate of th...

Re: Recording computer playback without stereo mix

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8/8.1 and I can no longer get Audacity to record in any format. I am currently using a Dell Inspiron 660 w Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz. Included is NVIDIA High Definition Audio. I've gone to the Dell Website and upgraded all my drivers to no av...
