Re: Workflow on mixing tracks
I noticed that duplicating tracks does not respect "Simple" Solo button mode. Duplicate one soloed and one muted tracks and you now have two soloed tracks that breaks the "Simple" rule of only one track soloed. An interesting point. It's not actually breaking any rules because t...

Re: I have no audio when playing or recording audio on Windo
Using the audacity software. You still have not given us the version number from Help > About Audacity... . Make sure that says Audacity 2.1.2. If it does not, install 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Otherwise the links waxcylinder gave you will not match with the Audacity ver...

Re: Recording with C Media USB Mic
Also should the USB devices in Preferences be showing subdevices like those on the motherboard chip? That does not correspond with Audio Device Info.

Re: Workflow on mixing tracks
Edit->Select->In all audible Tracks. I presume that you mean "not muted" tracks (a track that contains silence or white-space in the selected region is not audible). Yes, muted in terms of grayed waveform, not necessarily that the Mute button is down, so different to the meaning of Tracks...

Re: Can't set shortcut
Many thanks for the report. However this has now been fixed in our source code, so will be fixed in the next release of Audacity.

Re: setting
If you are recording computer playback, turn off Software Playthrough.
If you need more help, please state your version of Audacity (all three numbers, please see the pink panel at the top of the page).

Re: Multiple issues with Audacity 2.1.2
Thank you. As you may now have realised, all these issues are known about.
I find this works for the Genres list: hold the arrow button on the list down, then while holding, use keyboard arrows to select the required item from the list, then while still holding, press ENTER on the keyboard.

Re: Unable to load JUCE plugins to Audacity
Sorry, if it does not show in GarageBand it is assumed faulty and not an Audacity bug. None of us here are VST plugin developers.
If you post the Windows DLL I can check if it's usable there, but that's all I can do.

Re: Cannot launch Audacity on HP Pavilion Windows 7 Premium
I did manage to get a working version installed. I did it by installing during "Safe Boot". It seems I have had some esoteric permission problem creating files in AppData\Roaming\Audacity when running in normal mode. I could not even copy a small file into that directory. I tried changing...

Re: audio exported under name without one dot of many
I don't know why we don't show the default extension in the offered file name I wondered that. On Mac, importing "a..wav" works as one would hope. When you export you are offered "a..wav" and when you save you get the overwrite warning (assuming you are in the same directory). G...
