Re: Sudden Sound Level Dip
Are you talking about the headphones output of the Yeti? You have not changed the gain control on Yeti itself, I take it? Is the output and input drop now always immediate when you start recording? Or does it start loud then tail off as it did the first time? Are you listening to previous recordings...

Re: Splitting Stereo tracks
Please, tell us your version of Audacity (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page). The current Audacity 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows has Split Stereo to Mono in the Audio Track Dropdown Menu . Don't look in the Tracks menu - this choice is not there. Gale

Re: application error 0xc000001 Windows XP SP3
No system changes, CPU and Motherboard not modified, no new memory added. Have not done a system restore for months. CPU-Z reports that SSE2 is not supported, only MMX(+), 3DNow!(+) and SSE - interesting as Audacity 2.1.0 ran perfectly before the upgrade. Have downloaded Audacity 2.0.6 and that run...

Re: Spectrogram - how to make it the default view upon openi
One more thing [setting]: how to stop Audacity after loading a file from splitting the outcome of the sound [sorry for my unprofessional lingo] equally between the left an right channel? Unfortunately I need to have more in my right speaker, because of how they are placed in the room, so every time...

This looks most like a "Feature Request" now, so moved there.

Re: recording problem windows 7 audacity 2.1.0
Thanks very much Mr/Ms Kozikowski. I have visited Recording preferences: 'Overdub' is selected 'Software playthrough' is not selected The problem persists. Any further help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. As Koz said. Open Device Toolbar and choose the correct device to record from (...

Re: Workflow on mixing tracks
One thing that would be extremely helpful to me were the ability to enable/disable the pan (and gain) sliders for all tracks temporarily, a sort of bypass. On a hardware mixer there are often separate "main" and "monitor" mixes. We don't do that in Audacity because to do it prop...

Re: Workflow on mixing tracks
That being so I would not expect either Mix and Render item in the root of the menu to do nothing on those two selected tracks. I didn't suggest that it "does nothing" with those tracks. I suggested that it treats them as muted tracks when they are muted, just as it treats them as tracks ...

Re: Cut out first half of recording
From the files, the any d0x files before d04 are gone. It goes to d08. How much disk space does Audacity say you have at Edit > Preferences... then "Directories"? Did you save an Audacity project just before the first half vanished? If so the earlier d folders might be somewhere else on t...

Re: Audacity recording more than it should.
Set the mic as default recording device in Windows Sound then use Windows Voice Recorder to record while recording in Bandicam. To open Voice Recorder, press Windows Start, type "recorder" (without quotes) then press ENTER on your keyboard. Does Voice Recorder record a ghost of the gamepla...
