Re: Voxengo Plugins won't enable...
Unlike my Ableton Live 9.6, Audacity does an excellent job of finding these plugins (AnSpec & MarvelEQ) regardless of where I try to hide them...lol Plugins should be put in the locations where Audacity searches for that plugin type. Please see here for where to install VST effects http://manua...

Re: Workflow on mixing tracks
Looking at the pros and cons We are just going round in circles now so I suggest you take it outside this group and get more opinions. It is not just my use case to be considered where I would "only" have to unmute one track. Users who want to mix and render all tracks to make space to ad...

Re: Workflow on mixing tracks
I fully agree. The mix-down per selectiveness is in fact a poor replacement for the send (e.g. to aux, sub-group) knob, associated with hardware devices. We are not Ardour. Most of our users have no experience with mixing desks so have no expectation that a particular Tracks menu item is going to b...

Re: unwanted noise while trying to record
Most cheap USB tape players are junk, not to put too fine a point on it. If you have a proper tape deck but no stereo line-in (blue) on the computer, spend your money on a USB interface with a stereo line in and connect the proper tape deck to that. For example: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Rec...

Re: Binaural beats plugin error messages
Actually I am on Windows. The version of the plugin on the Wiki works with the settings I showed you: http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=14773 Those settings were based on the settings you showed originally. If you enter my settings as above, what exact error do you see in Steve's ne...

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 and Windows 10 Audio input error solution
Thanks, Cam. It is unusual that enabling enhancements would cause error opening sound device. DId you go to your computer manufacturer's site and download the latest Windows 10 audio drivers for your computer model?

Re: Recording input source
I have a new laptop - Lenovo Yoga 3, i7, SSD with Windows 10. When I record anything from internet, I observe loss of fidelity while playing back within Audacity. If you are recording into the mic port or using the internal mic, that is expected. Record using Windows WASAPI (loopback) which is digi...

Re: only records mono
Strange, here's the link: http://www.h3xed.com/blogmedia/youtube-info.php I haven't really looked at the data they provide yet. It's interesting, but not clear. If you just want the audio stream then you can right click over the URL and download it using save as, but you might not be able to play i...

Re: audacity 2.1.2 fails to compile on open suse 13.2
I also tried building it on openSUSE 13.2 and I get this error. But I don't get, what the problem is: what about that ANSI vs. Unicode thing? How do I solve this now? Do I really have to compile wxWidgets to solve this problem? As I assume you know, to help someone with a compilation error we need ...

Re: Problem with *.wav play time file inside audacity
