Re: Audacity crashes
I just got a new audio interface RME Babyface Pro that I'd like to use with Audacity, but I'm getting some serious latency issues. I'm running this through a MacBook Air running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.1. I'm using Audacity 2.1.3. The Sample rate is running at 44,100Hz. My microphone (Sennheiser 416) i...

Re: New Crackling Noise When Recording
Let's understand something. Audacity records what it is given. The problem is with Yeti in particular, and low end USB mics in general, not Audacity.
Have you tried making the cable less taut?

Re: Fading the same amount of time of multiple clips
If it isn't DC offset, there is a primitive fade in/out at http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... In_and_Out that lets you specify the fade region so you could use it in a Chain applied to files. See Installing Nyquist plug-ins.

Re: Mic volume fades in when recording
You could try a different host in Audacity's Device Toolbar . If you have Skype running, shut it down, because it can interfere with recording and playback for other purposes. Other than that, with the mic as default Windows recording device, try recording in Windows Sound Recorder . If the behaviou...

Re: Long labels not loaded in Audacity projects
It isn't easy to know what to do here given many users would be exporting files based on label names. I agree silently removing the label when reopening the AUP file is not very friendly. I would guess only users with high resolution monitors could even read a one-line label in Audacity that is 260 ...

Re: Mic volume fades in when recording
It's less likely to be an enhancement setting given it's a USB headset. Do the blue waves start out less tall? If not, then it is a playback problem and you should look at your sound card playback effects. If the waves start less tall, make sure the headset is connected to an empty USB port. Don't c...

Re: Mic volume fades in when recording
I have a logitec headset that I use for voice recording. Every time I start a recording, the volume begins very low and gradually gets louder. It takes a couple seconds to get to the right volume. This happens every time I start a new recording. Any ideas on how to fix this? What version of Audacit...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
I get the error on first launch of the replaced AAAtest about not being able to load the setting of "5", but that part seems totally expected to me. That error only appears once. The error clicking on defaults is repeatable, so I guess the issue is that Audacity does not check to see if th...

Re: Unable to record voice
Check your cables and check that phantom power is enabled if this is required for your mic. Otherwise, ask Focusrite for support. You will need to tell them whether you have 1st or 2nd generation 2i2. They claim compatibility for Sierra but they don't mention any problems apart from duplicated audio...

Re: Unable to access/adjust Bass Treble,No Stereo,Too Distor
Linux (not Linus) is not an application, it's an operating system, like Windows. There are several hundred version of Linux. Ubuntu is one of the most user-friendly. You could buy Windows 10 from Microsoft: https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Windows-10-Home/productID.319937100 . If...
