Re: Can't open project

Open Windows Media Player. Press ALT on your keyboard then you can see File > Open. No need to type the file name.

Or right-click the WAV in Explorer, Choose "Open with" then choose Windows Media Player.

Re: I can't scroll right on audio track

So to be clear, on the previous version of Audacity that I used I didn't need to hold down shift to scroll. Scroll with what? Magic Mouse? Trackpad? I would have expected the opposite - 2.1.2 to be the first version where you could scroll rightwards with a rightwards movement without using SHIFT. I...

Re: Anomalies in 2.1.2 ---

Perhaps next release you would like to test the Release Candidate build or builds for us? ;) Anything reported that we thought was a release blocker would be fixed. I don't see what you see with the vertical meter in El Capitan. If you click outside the Audacity window, the meter and Audacity will ...

Re: Audacity crashes whenever I use my external mic

On the other hand, the newest version of Audacity has fixed a bunch of problems that I'd been having: crash after a long recording session (no data lost, but some time) or after a period of inactivity when the mac had gone to sleep; and alert windows on reopening, and logs created (which I could ne...

Re: Anomalies in 2.1.2 ---

I'm a programmer myself. Excellent. If you know C++ would you like then to subscribe to our developers mailing list and introduce yourself? We are very short of Mac developers (hence the Audacity issues you complain about) so we would welcome the help. This is the output of the screen in 2.1.1 http...

Re: Is anyone building on OSX 10.11.3, Xcode 7.2.1

The instructions are at mac/Build.txt. The latest known Xcode that works is 7.1 but the MacOSX10.6.sdk is required as well. hmmm. Actually requires MacOSX10.6.sdk ? Wonder can I put that into the same folder as the new one? The instructions in Build.txt are quite explicit. I suggest you follow thos...

Re: AUDIO TRACK NON DEFAULT COLOURS

Try pressing F1 on your computer keyboard to go back to selection tool.

You cannot remove the yellow focus border around the track.

If you see the track name in yellow and don't want that, you can turn it off in Interface Preferences.

We won't support you if you try to do without the 10.6 SDK but feel free to report your findings. wxWidgets 3.0.0 is untested but should work. I recommend you make a local inst...

Re: Where are my files, where is library

Please tell us your version of Audacity (see the pink panel at the top of the page). I just did a multiple track project and can't access many of the files. This might be because i was working with mp3s. i have since updated the lame mp3 thing but still can't access files, which i see in library whe...
