Re: using the "Aqua" theme on Linux/Unix/(not OS X)?

I guess you could file a feature request if you are really interested in such a smaller control toolbar; I'd +1 it. +1 from me too, but I think I've already given my +1 for that (vote soon, vote often ;)) I had not voted for a half-height transport toolbar, so I counted two more votes for half-heig...

Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection

One solution would be to have Spectral Selection always "on" in Spectrogram views - but have that spectral selection disappear if the user switches to one of the waveform views. For me, it is a real issue that such spectral selections can continue to exist invisibly when the user switches...

Re: preferences clavinova using midi cables

Your recording of the piano was stereo, so you have one of the "compatible" mic inputs that can accept line level. You can get rid of a lot of the noise with Audacity's Noise Reduction without significantly harming the piano. I agree with cyrano the UMC 202 HD seems a good bet - you could ...

Re: audacity installation

I select installation, then get the captcha screen, but there is no area to enter captcha data. Nothing shows but a empty box. There is a big orange triangle with a white exclamation mark. But no captcha options. How do I get past that? Make sure you download Audacity from us: http://audacityteam.o...

Re: wxWidgets crashes_third-party plugins

What version of Waves is it, in case that cannot be found in the material you posted? v9 was believed working OK on OS X the last time a developer tested it. Unfortunately it is hard for us as free software to test expensive restricted software that gets frequently updated at further considerable ex...

Re: Drag and Drop Import Broken v 2.1.2

Thanks. This is already noted in the 2.1.2 Release Notes: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Relea ... nd_Exports.

As it says there, you can still drag most file types to the Audacity icon in the Dock, or to the Audacity.app icon where Audacity is installed.

Re: wxWidgets crashes_third-party plugins

Have you had a reply yet from Apple about the issue, considering you believe it affects other apps including their own Logic Pro?

Is GarageBand affected?

Re: wxWidgets crashes_third-party plugins

Do you need Xcode for some reason, such as MacPorts?

Re: headphones not recognised

Please, see the pink panel at the top of the page and tell us what version of Audacity you have (all three numbers). Just got me an iMac and trying to set up Audacity - not clever enough to switch to Reaper yet! Audacity has recognised my microphone without a problem, but will not give me the output...

Re: wxWidgets crashes_third-party plugins

In your message to [email protected] and -quality your subject line suggests the crashes started after updating Xcode yesterday. Is that correct - these crashes only started yesterday? Despite that do I understand the 2.1.3-alpha that crashes is a nightly build you downloaded and not a build you made yourse...
