Re: Error when opening project: Error Importing
Unfortunately the AUP file is just NULL values, so effectively empty. Do you know what happened? Did you shut down the computer in the middle of saving that project? If the project is an unedited recording you can follow http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recovering_crashes_manually.html to recove...

Re: Mac git not compiling this morning. FYI
Thanks. I attached the log to the thread you started on -devel.
Most likely, http://audacity.238276.n2.nabble.com/Di ... 72487.html is the cause.
You could try https://github.com/Paul-Licameli/audacity/tree/mac-fix . I will try that one.

Re: Holding down mouse and not able to use keyboard
Thanks, sorry about that. The bug (or restriction) is already logged on our bug tracker: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1331 . The workaround is to use the different workflow of Timeline Quick-Play . Drag a selection in the Timeline above the blue waves and release the mouse to pla...

Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection
Looking at this another way, this issue is only really a problem for "one click" effects. You mean effects without a GUI? Yes that would be a problem without an indication of a spectral selection in waveform views. Perhaps we could put the high/low frequencies in the menu item for that ef...

Re: fade- overlap track?
Note to JIMWICK - you can ignore this post because I am talking about features that are not present in the current release version, but will be in the next release. @Steve - why does that page above talk about having to have audio clips Are you talking about my recent updates to the alpha manual? N...

Re: Latency fluctuating from run to run
Recording from the internet at the wrong speed is mentioned now and again on Linux. It is usually a sample rate problem. Changing the project rate bottom left of Audacity to the rate of the file or the rate of the sound card might fix it, or you may have to go much deeper than that into Linux sound ...

Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection
Well for my money I'd a) have the Spectral Selection Toolbar "on" by default - as that makes the spectral stuff more "discoverable" (and advert if you like) - abd i's so easy to turn it off if you really don't want it. I see some sense in an advert but suggest that could be a Sp...

Re: Install of Audacity 2.1.2 for dummies
Just to add that any option that mentions replace would delete any plugins in the Audacity Plug-ins folder that were not shipped with Audacity. If you see "Merge" or "Keep Newer" that will retain files that are not part of the new installation. Also in case your previous Audacity...
