Re: Audio Scrubbing doesn't stop after releasing mouse butto
from my point of view, the only thing to make it perfect at this point would be to make scrubbing stops (and therefore return the app to its normal or previous state) as soon as the Left Mouse Button (or the Ctrl key if you prefer) is released. Shouldn't it be that simple?? Scrubbing as implemented...

Re: no response with Windows 10
I'm recording my own voice, with the same headset I used before. The current Audacity is 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . I suggest you use that version. As Doug said, you have to choose the correct recording device in Audacity's Device Toolbar . If it's a USB headset and you c...

Re: Can't open project
In Windows Media Player, select the file or play it. Then ALT, File > Properties. In the Properties dialogue, File tab, look at "Location".

Sound cuts off on portable Macs
Split from http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=298851#p298851 After doing a couple of saves with minus signs in the filename, no more sound in Audacity. Only clicks when starting and stopping playback. Other apps are affected too. After a trip to System prefs, where the first system sound...

Re: Holding down mouse and not able to use keyboard
I think it depends on the length you want to play. Timeline Quick-Play is convenient for longer regions because you can adjust them while playing and retain the boundaries. For very short selections where the playback will stop before you can adjust the region, you really need to right-click the Tim...

OK then we are sure now you have the correct audio drivers for the built-in sound device. Your Audacity audio device info does not show line in, only microphone and Stereo Mix. I think the only way you might be able to improve things is to go into Windows Sound . Change to the "Recording" ...

Re: NOT GETTING SOUND WHEN RECORDING CASSETTE
Hi, Please don't jump into others' posts even if they look superficially similar and you have looked at the advice there. The problem is that the fine detail of replying to two people in one topic just gets too confusing both for us and for the two posters. Remember, the original poster has a differ...

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full
The log is attached here. It's becoming clear that the first time I saved it and accidentally used a hyphen in the title appears to have caused the whole problem. No, as I said characters are believed irrelevant to this issue. Please open Finder, Go > Go to Folder and type or paste: ~/Library/Appli...

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full
Please note, the first comment I received in this forum was not to save a file with punctuation marks. I immediately tried saving the file with other names that were only letters. I tried saving four different names with just a couple letters. All saves failed, AND the actual project continued to h...
