Re: Audacity is double installed?!

Hi, I'm new to Audacity and it has somehow double installed on my Mac - I have two of every file. But I can't seem to drag & drop to Trash. I just get a message saying that the files can't be deleted. Any ideas? I don't want to take up precious space on my Mac! thanks v much If Audacity is runn...

Re: scratchy fast playback

Moved to the correct GNU/Linux board. The basic and main one is that Audacity does not work. First thign after reading start up was to play an audio file and it does not just a scratchy blurb of noise for a short period of time. Assuming it's a legitimate file (not copyright protected) it's because ...

Re: Tracks Shortcuts

That is a bug in 2.1.2. It's now been fixed in our source code.

The shortcuts will work in 2.1.1 and will work again in 2.1.3 when released (but that will be several months hence).

Re: fade- overlap track?

Then this leads to saying something like using a split line will ensure the crossfade starts or ends at the correct place Nicely put - That's the crucial point that we need to lead up to. Perhaps something along the lines of: If the selected region is continuous audio with no splits, the first half...

Re: Audacity not work in Deepin (ubuntu)

Okay, I'll try to correct this error alone. Thanks for nothing. Sorry but you have not helped yourself by refusing to answer our question about what version of Audacity you are using, and refusing to say whether you have tried to update your repository version of Audacity. To repeat for you, Audaci...

Re: Audacity not work in Deppin (ubuntu)

I deleted ~/.audacity-data/, but not work :| As I asked and suggested: What version of Audacity are you using - a version from Deppin's repository, or did you build Audacity yourself? If you updated Deppin and have an old repository version of Audacity, perhaps you want to update your repository ve...

Re: Sound cuts off on portable Macs

When closing the log window with command + w, Audacity asked if I wanted to save. When I answered "No", it didn't close the log window, but it closed the (already saved) project window. Small bug there, I think. I agree Firefox and Safari would close an active modeless window on COMMAND +...

Re: Could not Save Project. Perhaps Disk is Full

I suggest jbgordon updates to Audacity 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac/. If it is an Audacity problem which I think it is, 2.1.2 may not have that problem any longer. Try it.

Re: Opening Files From the Same Directory?

The current version of Audacity is 2.1.2: http://audacityteam.org/download/mac . To avoid Audacity crashes on portable Mac's you are strongly recommended to upgrade to 2.1.2. Audacity stores the last folder you opened or imported a file from at "DefaultOpenPath" in the audacity.cfg setting...

Re: Skype Interview Not Recording

Th current version of Audacity is 2.1.2: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows.

We discourage using Audacity to record Skype. Use an app meant for recording Skype instead: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 41#p265341 . That way you will record both sides of the call.
