Re: Problem with recording at 2X speed
I'm glad you solved it, but it still seems like you are saying that the Scarlett is unpredictable. If it happens again, come back to this topic and look at all the suggestions made here, including drivers and Audacity Audio Host. Remember to cold boot regularly. Windows button, Power button then hol...

Re: Sampling tools needs to take control of another process
I split this off from your other topic http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=326662#p326662 where you are complaining about an unspecified "latency problem". I launch the program but it won't record. It sits frozen. Not enough detail. What device are you recording with? Is it your ...

Re: Audacity 2.2.0 alpha April 30th - skins
Thanks for testing. Don't forget that 2.2.0-alpha is not a stable release. Be sure to export your work regularly as WAV. But why hide a number of options in extra submenus? Its a lot easier to look down one open menu. The developer doing most of the commits at the moment insists on short root menus....

Re: Increasing recording length Audacity 2.0.3 and Windows 1
I am trying to record old cassette tapes that have music and voice. these are home made cassette tapes. At 6 to 8 minutes the recording to the computer stops. The tape drive does not stop. I have tried going to mono and reducing resolution to 16 bits, but nothing seems to work. Using windows 10, Au...

Re: What do you call this sound? Is it possible to fix it?
For a "perfect" copy where you can hear what was recorded and intended, buy the CD. You can still rip the CD to WAV and edit it further to your taste.

Re: DLLL HIJACKING Audacity 2.1.2
With no installation of LAME or FFmpeg, and clean audacity.cfg for each test, I have now tested three setups. Loading a project from a Linux machine on my local network. Loading a project stored on my FTP server on the internet, where the server is a folder that appears on the computer as an unmappe...

Re: Error: reference to invalid character number at line 6
I think "untagged" and for "writing and auditioning only" are likely to be extra terms over and above what is stated on the YouTube page, given they are embedded in the file itself. In any case, note that Seaniboy did not download from the link given on the YouTube that page that...

Re: DLLL HIJACKING Audacity 2.1.2
Maybe the problem why you all don't see the issue is, that on the screenshot the "remote" Address uses a private-ip-range. So let me describe the test-setup: In the test there were two PCs involved: A:) A physical PC that acted as the "Evil Internet Host". This PC had the 192.16...

Re: DLL HIJACKING Audacity 2.1.2
No. I worked with a clean audacity.cfg and uninstalled LAME and FFmpeg first.colebantam wrote:I guess I found out why the DLLs aren't loaded from the testdirectory on Gale's Test-Setup. I assume Gale has Lame and FFMpeg already configured in Audacity?

Re: Interactive sound soure separation
I don't think Peter has dealt with this, so I will add two votes for source separation to Wiki Feature Requests when I collate the votes we have had for this feature.
