Re: Recordings breaking up

On closer inspection even the 96000 project rate has tiny gaps in the recorded audio. I did another test with a microphone, no problems even at 8000 recording setting. Tried a different driver, same issue so I'm stumped :? As I said, the sound card is not functioning correctly if you cannot change ...

I have been taking your advice and working things out. Let us know some details of how you fixed it, or if you need more help. Other people reading this might benefit from that. Where can I make a small contribution to Audacity? We would appreciate a small donation if you can. Please see http://old...

@tobele. does the 2.1.2 window always open normally now you have deleted "/Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist"?

Did OS X create a new copy of that file?

Re: Problems with labels numbering higher than 100

In previous instances, I have been able to split my MP3s into 999 files (they are audio books, so I find that having this many tracks makes it easier to listen to it without losing my place so easily). But when I upgrade to 2.1, I am now getting an error telling me I am out of range. What gives? Th...

Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection

I don't think you will accept my proposal no matter how "clearly" I describe it, so I'll leave this one for someone else to fix. Not so, from what I said already. I am not likely to accept it if only you want it. We have a "solution" where only one person likes that solution now...

Given you see the graphical interface, I don't understand what the exact problem is.

If you want to see a bar graph in real-time, click the "Analyzer" button in the effect.

Re: Timer Record freezes but recording continues

It stops properly after 5 sec. Also after 7 sec. Then it froze at 10 sec. Thanks for confirming. Does setting a longer "Audio to buffer" at Edit > Preferences..., Recording tab (such as 4000 milliseconds) make any difference to the issue? Note that Transport > Software Playthrough should ...

Re: Playing audio in Audacity disables external speakers

If you want other software to share the audio device with Audacity, it is recommended to choose the "pulse" or "default" devices in Audacity's Device Toolbar.
