Re: Drivers for Windows 10 64-bit

I was thrilled to use your brilliant Audacity program to record directly into my laptop via inbuilt the microphone. It just worked, no problem. I am a professional singer and was using Audacity to assess and improve my vocal work. Now when I press the red record button, instead of the new blank tra...

Re: Help Repairing Corupted Wav File

All tracks recorded as PCM24LE, but when you play them back the recordings gets progressively faster and higher in pitch (not linear, the changes are at seemingly random intervals) and the track have digital distortion. I think the X32 sent me floating bit files, but my DAW closed the files with a ...

Re: Recorded songs on top of each other but don't want a mix

Re: Lame settings [SOLVED]

I would be happy enough with 192 kbps CBR as default. but for mono files, that would mean much bigger file size (almost double the size of the "standard" preset), which is likely to bring in a new wave of complaints. Perfectly true if the user did not reduce the CBR bit rate accordingly, ...

Re: saving mp3

When the file is downloaded it no longer looks as it did before -the downloaded file now looks like a document and all previous mp3 I have sent to people now look the same Then presumably the file association with MP3 has changed to an application that normally opens documents. As I said, right-cli...

Re: 64bit?

From the Audacity wiki As you say that is outdated (and it says don't read below the yellow box). ;) The most up-to-date information will be here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_about_audacity.html#64bit It's not quite up-to-date in the sense that it is possible to install a 64-bit versio...

Re: [Fedora23] audacity hang when startup

using the strace utility I get the following Please see my previous post. Audacity is not responsible for Fedora packaging errors. However you can probably run the 2.1.1 package without running as root by downgrading soundtouch. Gale Sorry Andrews, i didn't saw your post before. Yes, I known the bu...

See Why can’t I use the effects or other menu items?.

The easiest way is to use Time Shift Tool: Time Shifting - Audacity Manual.

Re: Navigate Audacity Playback

kozikowski wrote:Audacity won't "scrub" if that's what you mean. You can't whip the cursor back and forth at random and have the playback follow you.
As you know, Audacity 2.1.1 and later has a (somewhat unintuitive) Scrubbing and Seeking feature initiated by CTRL-clicking in the waveform.
