Re: Windows 7 & Audacity 2.1.2

The latest Zeranoe builds listed at https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ are too recent for loading from Audacity's Libraries Preferences. You can export 5.1 AC3 from Audacity if you choose (external program) and point the export command to the ffmpeg.exe from those Zeranoe builds (or to any other ffm...

If the hub is connected to the USB port, yes. Audio devices must be connected directly to a USB port.

Re: Silent files that cannot recover

I cannot find any .au files that are not silent Then you will have to forget it, I am afraid. Stitching the AU files together with automatic tools will not unsilence the files. To address the stability issues on your Mac I would reset the System Management Controller (SMC) . If problems persist, I ...

Re: Recorded songs on top of each other but don't want a mix

Sorry about that, I am first time user of Audacity, I didnt realise there was a Mac Forum and I couldnt see how to post a topic, thats why I 'tagged' onto the post, it was the closest I could find to my query. No problem. Next time you have a question just go to http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewfo...

>> If you can record your mic on its own without sound bursts you can pretty much assume the aggregation to record Skype is the cause. No, this clicking also appears when Skype is not running at all I was not talking about the clicking there, but about the original sound burst problem when recordin...

Re: Error with Blue Snowball

Please don't forget to tell us what version of Audacity you are using. See the pink panel at the top of the page. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_errors.html#sound_device . You might simply have pulled the cable out, in which case reconnect it and do Transport > Rescan Audio Devices fro...

Re: Weird noises when recording

I suppose Callnote crashes because it is strictly only for OS X 10.7 and 10.8. You could try https://rogueamoeba.com/piezo/ . It's free for up to 10 minutes recording and is for OS X 10.9 or later. I never heard of anyone simply aggregating Soundflower with a mic to record Skype before. It would not...

Re: Noise reduction changing timing on audio

For some reason the new audio is someone always off in timing. It is the same length of the video, but no matter where i put the audio within 2 minutes the audio stops syncing, almost as if it has been sped up by like.... 1 second. I can not seem to figure out how or why this is happening. The only...

Re: Stuttering recorded segment

Do you think any change in the Audacity recording buffer would affect it? I'm running the buffer at 15ms right now. Probably not, if this is the bug Koz experienced once where fragments get duplicated and moved around. It could be an OS X bug, but only Koz and you have reported it. Note that Audaci...
