Re: Timer Record freezes but recording continues
2.1.2 is the only version of Audacity I've used. I don't have earlier versions. As I said, you could download 2.1.1 from http://www.oldfoss.com/Audacity.html . You can download the ZIP of 2.1.1 to try it and then just delete it if you don't want to keep it. I think you will find 2.1.1 does not have...

Re: Help! Sound Lost From Recording
The format varies but most commonly it is m4a. Please install FFmpeg then you will almost certainly be able to import the files into Audacity without converting them. Aside from whatever problem you are having, converting to MP3 means you will lose quality un-necessarily. If you must convert the fi...

Re: Sound Blaster Audigy FX Windows 10
Please at least try the Windows 2.1.3-alpha builds and let us know if you can use the SoundBlaster with that. You can delete 2.1.3-alpha if you don't like using it long term, but it is believed as stable as 2.1.2 release right now. Did you obtain the Sound Blaster Audigy Fx Software Pack for Windows...

The features are described in Export Multiple - Audacity Manual. There are no hidden options you cannot see.
So no, those are "feature requests".

Re: Retain metadata on multiple imports
If I have set up non-standard Tag fields, they completely disappear. For MP3, the tags are exported as TXXX user-specified frames. If the app you are playing the files in reads TXXX frames, you will see the tags in separate fields, probably duplicating fields that have the same tag names but no val...

Re: volume fades in seconds after initiating recording
There is no point trying "every combination of settings". I have linked to the correct way to record computer playback. Irrespective of what you do on Windows 7, on your Windows 10 machine, do the following: In Audacity, open Device Toolbar . In the first (Host) box of Device Toolbar, choo...

Re: I dont want to record audio playback
I see on http://forum.music-group.com/showthread ... o-playback they are giving you the same answer as my best guess "Use "2-Track to Phones" and the phones out".
Does that now work?
