Re: Multiple simultaneous projects/edits?
what do you mean by "two different recent Audacity executables"? In my previous attempt, I was unable to run 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 simultaneously, is that basically what you meant? (But I might be able to run like 1.x and 2.x at the same time? That probably wouldn't be very useful for me though...

Re: Change pitch without "chipmunk effect"
Or you can try Formant Filter to shift the formants ... Audacity 2-1-2 in Windows Vista is not accepting that VST : plenty of "can't load module" error messages. It certainly works in Windows 10: formant_filter.PNG The plugin has presumably been made with a demo version of SynthEdit, give...

Re: Cannot install Audacity lastest version
Make sure you are downloading Audacity from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Clear the download list or cache in your browser or download manager then try downloading again. As it says on http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#exe , using "Run" ma...

Re: Audacity unable to locate specified Lame library file
I have the libmp3lame.dylib plug-in on my desktop, but Audacity won't recognize it, it is greyed out. running os 10.10 and the latest audacity. Unless you have Audacity 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac/ you may not have the latest version. Please see the pink panel at the top of the ...

Re: Can't minimize record level
Win 7 and soundcard have all updates. That is not the same as going to the computer manufacturer's web site (assuming the computer is a branded model that you bought) and installing or reinstalling the correct audio drivers. As you have 64-bit Windows 7, you need the 64-bit drivers. If drivers are ...

Re: Windows 10 - ASIO - Works on Windows 7 not Windows 10
If I compile without ASIO on Windows 10 - everything is fine. I would expect that given you said the pre-compiled 2.1.2 launches on Windows 10. Do I have to use the Steinberg ASIO driver? Would asio4all work? To use an ASIO4ALL driver, Audacity must still be compiled with ASIO support. I don't know...

Re: Clck Track Graphic Overlay
So you really want beats and bar lines on the waveform? Having Beat Per Minute labels so there is a label for every beat in a label track is not sufficient?

Make sure you have Audacity 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Please see the pink panel at the top of the page for how to determine your Audacity version. If you are using a USB recording device, see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_playback.html#usb . You can also drag t...

Gale, Did you get my PM? re the Wiki. It may be useful. Yes I got round to that now. A randomly generated password for Rachalmers has been sent to your e-mail address. The password for this new account can be changed on the Change password page upon logging in. As it is obscure how to create a new ...

Re: After closing Audacity I get a black screen and my curso
It would help if you gave your Audacity version number (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page). If you cannot fix it, try COMMAND + OPTION + ESC to force quit Audacity. Then open Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder and type: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/ Delete that aud...
