Re: Recording audio through line in port problems.
A combo audio out and audio in won't be a line level input. Cut your losses and buy a USB audio device with a line-in: USB Interfaces . Windows WASAPI works with Audacity on Windows 10 - see Windows WASAPI loopback recording . The link does not mention Windows 10 because Audacity won't be officially...

Re: Bizarre volume level issue with USB headset
If I could convince the stream to play through a DirectX based player, I almost guarantee this problem would go away That is why I suggested that DirectShow recorder app http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=303502#p303502 . You can't use it directly with Audacity but you can record a WAV t...

Re: Mic Volume Low
Any info that is needed to help can be provided upon request as I'm not sure what else to provide. We always like to know your Audacity version (all three numbers, please see the pink panel at the top of the page). If you really are connecting to a mic port and not a line-level port (blue), then ri...

Re: Cannot Record
I was able to install and use Audacity on another Windows 10 machine that I own. This unit does not have a Creative sound card. I believe the Creative card is incompatible with audacity. You are not playing the sound on the SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium. You are playing the sound on the Bose USB speak...

Re: Cannot Record
2.1.2 and Windows 7. Can't record. Yesterday I 'chatted' at length with Kody and after trying many solutions, he parachuted in to control my software, worked on it at length, and finally had to leave as his work shift was ending. So...still cannot record. Can playback MP3s, etc. Can't get Audacity ...

Re: ReaEQ stopped working in Audacity
ReaEQ v2.36 32-bit works for me on Windows 10 in the latest 2.1.3-alpha, except that clicking "Add Band" and "Remove Band" freezes Audacity, requiring force quit. That does not happen in 2.1.1. The crashes are already noted in http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127...

Re: ElCap Error while opening sound device etc
To clarify, there is no OS called El Capital, it's El Capitan.
