Re: Cant record electric guitar in stereo, ive followed the
Please don't forget to tell us your version of Audacity (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page). The electric guitar is not stereo. It is one channel of a stereo pair for which you have not connected the other input (for example, microphone) in Lexicon. Set Audacity to record ...

Re: Not maximized window with more than two files
Are you sure you have "%_path%" inside quotes as per https://forums.mp3tag.de/index.php?showtopic=979&st=0&p=4097&#entry4097 ? With the quotes I get each file opening in a new Audacity window without error messages about files not being found. I tried four files selected in MP3...

Your project opens now, that is the main thing. The FFmpeg errors are "normal" if you do not have FFmpeg installed. You seem to have two orphan block files. I think these are the last few seconds of left channel and right channel audio that was recorded, but Audacity never had time to writ...

Re: Bizarre volume level issue with USB headset
But you haven't said if that standalone DirectShow recorder records at a higher level. If it doesn't then the problem may be something else. Or can you not record the browser audio with Nvidia ShadowPlay? Why do you have to use Audacity to record? I think most likely the problem is in the Logitech ...

I updated your profile to Windows 7.
It was a problem similar to that I stated. I've attached the repaired file. If you had the current Audacity 2.1.2 the crash would probably not have corrupted the AUTOSAVE file.

Re: Incomplete recovery of files after crash
I use Windows 8. The crash was because I mistakenly selected a recording length longer than the recording itself. And what did you do after making that overlong selection? Audacity should not crash if you select too much audio. And,yes, I still have the pre-edit work. Windows didn't crash; I force ...

I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise. Using Audacity 2.0.2 When you registered on the Forum you said you were running Windows 10. Which Windows do you have? Open Explorer or File Explorer. Type or paste %appdata%\Audacity\AutoSave into the Explorer address bar and hit ENTER on your keyboard. In that &q...

Re: Problems in Automatic Recovery
I started a new topic for you. These issues are rarely exactly the same and if SOTU has more questions it will be confusing to answer both of you in the same topic. So, first I record a whole show—four bands. Lots of audio. Two mics, stereo live recording. Around 3hrs of audio. Take it home, everyth...

Re: recording vinyl...too loud
One thing that is strange is: I monitor the output of the turntable from the headphone jack on the ART, so that is BEFORE the signal reaches the computer. Once the ART is connected to the computer, if I unplug the usb cable, I lose sound in the headphones. Yet, if I don't connect, then I always hav...

Re: Force Audacity to scale to High DPI screens (*ubuntu)
Unfortunately Audacity is not yet fully DPI aware or High-DPI aware. Some parts that are High-DPI aware have too large text. If you have not already done so, you could see if setting a custom resolution for Audacity might help: http://askubuntu.com/questions/526484/fix-scaling-of-java-based-applicat...
