Re: 2.1.2 - Timed record under Server 2016 Technical Preview
I came here to investigate this problem which I'm seeing with the following build: Program build date: Jan 9 2016 Commit Id: 53b8fd5 of Fri Jan 8 22:05:48 2016 +0000 Build type: Release build I'm running on Windows 10 Pro. The recording runs indefinitely and I've noticed that the focus on the modal...

Re: New User-Cassette to MP3
You have to launch Audacity first, then connect the USB cassette player, then choose the USB Audio CODEC for the cassette player as Recording Device in Audacity's Device Toolbar . You have to turn the recording level up in Mixer Toolbar: [mixtool][/mixtool] Use Audacity 2.1.2 from http://audacitytea...

Re: Applications for recording Google Voice calls...
I use Google Voice and need sometimes to record interviews and conference calls. I'm looking for an application for recording Google Voice calls that will run on a Windows machine. Audacity is not a good choice. As long as the person calls you to start a call, doesn't Google Voice record for you: h...

Thanks. I'll close this topic now then, even though it was not really "solved" for you.

Re: Export crash when using similar file name
Thanks for the report. A very few people have reported crashes on Windows 10 using the file save or file open dialogues, but we have never been able to reproduce them. What word exactly is XXXXX? I tried with the word "Sermon" without having any crashes. Are you selecting the similar name ...

Re: Exporting Problem
I cannot reproduce that even in Audacity 2.1.0, based on that image. It looks like you are not showing the complete project (View > Fit in Window). You may have a hacked Audacity version or broken settings. What look to be redundant empty tracks above the blue waves might possibly not be helping. I ...

Re: Exporting 13hr long mix
As I said to Dario on [email protected], he must be sure to use Audacity 2.0.6 or later if he is saving very long projects. Otherwise the project may reopen as silenced orphan files. Dario if you need more help please be specific what format (WAV, MP3 ...) you are exporting to and what the exact symptoms of...

Re: Hello World on Xcode 7.1
Maybe this should be a post for the wxWidgets forum, not Audacity? Correct. ;) The compiled build of Audacity is an obscure "Derived Data" folder, assuming you used Xcode to compile it. Developers usually build Audacity with xcodebuild at the command-line, then Audacity is compiled in /tm...
