Re: massive distortion recording from dam 900 nexus

Do you have the latest version of El Capitan from Apple Store? USB support had many problems in early El Capitan.

Are there any special Mac drivers or firmware you should have from Pioneer Support? I can't tell you because that page is not responding for me at the moment.

Re: Setting language to English

There is no English download version supplied by us. I recommend downloading the latest Audacity 2.1.2 from us at http://audacityteam.org/download/mac . Otherwise you might harm your computer with a hacked version of Audacity. That can happen because Audacity is open source. If you don't want to use...

Re: recording volume control

What do you mean by in the red? The default recording meters turn orange then red when the input level increases above -6 dB. There is no clipping until the red clipping indicator at the far right comes on. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/meter_toolbar.html#annotated . This signal is currentl...

Re: Applications for recording Google Voice calls...

Or try VoiceMeeter . It would appear that VoiceMeeter allows users to redirect various inputs, but I would have to use it in conjunction with a separate recording app, like Audacity. That's correct. I was hoping for a simple single-app solution that would allow me to record both sides of a VoIP cal...

I think you can use VoiceMeeter Banana to record multiple inputs of an ASIO device into shipped Audacity.

True, but it prevents users having smaller projects.

Re: Can't install new plugins

I am currently using Ubuntu 14.04. The plugins I want to use are all .so files and they are all of the GVST plugins and the MDA plugins. I guess they would be considered LADSPA plugins, but I'm not sure. I just consider them VST. GVST are VST's but you mentioned TAP plugins in your first post which...

Re: Question about Audacity on Debian 8

Not exactly sure what causes the crashes. happens with the first time run add/remove effects. Thanks for the debug report. It does not seem to cite any specific plugins. If you exit Audacity then delete ~/.audacity-data/pluginregistry.cfg, restart Audacity then enable all plugins, does that crash? ...

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea

It is not safe because the user may already have deleted the file. Which could just as easily happen if they played the audio in some other "media player" couldn't it? If they are treating Audacity as an "audio player" as you suggest, then why would they delete the file if they ...
