Re: ONLY 34 MINUTES OF A 7 HOUR RECORDING IS EXPORTING. HELP
The size of a normal WAV file depends on the number of channels (usually mono or stereo), the sample format (how many bits per sample), and the sample rate (how many samples per second). Size in bytes = <number of channels> x <sample rate> x <bits per sample> / 8 (8 bits = 1 byte) Just to clarify, ...

Re: ONLY 34 MINUTES OF A 7 HOUR RECORDING IS EXPORTING. HELP
Maybe export in a different format perhaps? If you can't split the recording and you want a lossless format you can export as FLAC or RF64 (choose "Other uncompressed files" then look in the "Header" box). RF64 can go over 4 GB. FLAC will only be about 2 GB and does not have a s...

Re: Sounds Like I'm Recording Chipmunks
Okay, problem solved. I had had some computer issues a week back and, long story short, I had uninstalled and re-installed Audacity. Been quite a while since I had done that so I had forgotten that I had to go into my Windows Control Panel/hardware/Sound and check the sampling number there (it was ...

Re: LP Recording...never more
Could this be a driver issue? I have a Gigabit MB and Nvidia Gforce 7100, ran a driver updater during my struggle with this problem, could have screwed something up? I no longer understand what your problem is. One of the problems seems to be selecting a recording device you are not connected to, w...

Re: Region Labels

If it is any more convenient you can do UP arrow then SPACE instead of ENTER then SPACE. I think the starting point of the design should have been that clicking the label sele...

If it's 2x or 3x too short, you can try Effect > Change Speed... to correct it.DirtyBirds wrote:The entire recording sounds like it's running at 2x-3x normal speed.

Re: LP Recording...never more
Using the correct, working cables and choosing the correct recording and playback devices, there is no reason you could not use either computer line-in or USB. You even have a third method available. You showed that you enabled "Listen to this device" for the Line 5 - USB recording device....
