Re: RegCreateKeyEx failed code 1450
Exactly when does this occur, during installation? Is part of the message that "Insufficient system resources exist"? Did you install Windows 10 over previous Windows? It's possible installing CCleaner and running its Registry cleanup tool might help. But in case the message is spurious, h...

Re: Play, from paused, jumps to the start for no reason
I think there should be an option that actually shows a Stop and Set Cursor button. ooh yes please +1 Or make the Stop button behavior switchable between current behavior and "Stop and Set Cursor" - controlled by a Preferences setting - default, of course, to be current behavior. Peter al...

Yes you can use an iMic to connect a Walkman to the computer. Set the iMic switch to "Line".

Re: iMic device
Assuming you are still on Windows I moved this topic there. This is nothing to do with compiling Audacity.

Re: Plug-ins being removed/disabled without user initiating?
If you want to test alpha builds, I suggest you keep them updated. StudioFadeOut.ny and tremolo.ny are shipped in Audacity's Plug-ins folder so are not additional downloads. They are Nyquist plugins, so it's recommended you put them in the locations mentioned here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man...

I moved the topic to "Adding Features" so we can count AndyCivil's vote (and anyone else's vote which has not already been counted) .

Re: Audacity doesn't recognise my Keyboard?
I'm actually looking into purchasing the Akai EIE as an interface. Would this do the trick do you think? It's not an interface we have tested ourselves - the ones we have tested are in the link in the FAQ - http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Sound_Devices_and_Interfaces#USB_Interfaces . The AKAI EIE...

Re: Audacity doesn't recognise my Keyboard?
The computer line-in or mic in (if that is your only option) needs a stereo TRS to stereo TRS cable. The computer input will be 1/8 inch. Check if the phones/output on the keyboard is 1/4 inch or 1/8 inch (the keyboard manual does not say).

Re: Audacity doesn't recognise my Keyboard?
Please see Why can't I record my electronic keyboard or electronic instrument using the USB cable?. Your keyboard USB port only sends and receives MIDI, not audio, and Audacity cannot record MIDI.
So you will have to use audio/phones out of the keyboard. See the FAQ for more help .
