Re: Boring bump to start recording
Exactly how are you connecting that to the computer? Connections are: usb for the expander control and analog jacks for 3.5 sound transfer ( no optimal solution because jambo single jack for recording / playback! ) . A single port for recording and playback is almost always only a mic port when rec...

Re: Boring bump to start recording
source sound is professional expander Yamaha rack xs. Exactly how are you connecting that to the computer? Your Audacity recording device is SoundMapper, so changes with whatever is the default Windows recording device. You could try selecting the actual named device you want to record from. Gale

Re: .e00 Filetype unable to be opened
Do not open the .AU files in the _data folder of the Audacity project. Do not rename or change the extension of those .AU files or change the names of the subfolders. Simply open the AUP file. Re: Allen & Heath QU32 board issues
"Latency correction" is the wrong setting. Try changing "Audio to buffer".autodctr wrote:I tried increasing and decreasing the latency: nothing there either.
It would be good troubleshooting to see if other recording applications have the same problem.

Re: Error opening sound device using Stereo Mix
I have the latest drivers from Acer (they only have drivers up to Windows 8.1 and they use Realtek sound) Then you do not have proper Windows 10 drivers for your Realtek device and you may or may not get unpredictable behaviour or limited features. Audacity taking a long time to launch could be ind...

Re: New install, no effects plug-ins, no choice to Add/Remov
Every choice on the Effects menu is greyed-out. Have you tried pressing the yellow Stop button and closing all other Audacity dialogues? There is no choice for Add/Remove plug-ins either. 2.0.5 does not have Add / Remove Plug-ins and has no way to disable built-in effects. 2.1.2 has Add/Remove Plug...

Re: recording voice while listening to guitar track
What does that mean? That you have a mic that connects separately to the computer with a USB cable and you use 2i2 just as a playback device?mbatavia wrote:I uses a Scarlett 212 Focusrite for a usb mic input
Or that it's an XLR mic connected to the 2i2?
