Re: Recovering Data
Using a Ubuntu system I don't have access to anymore (and which exact system version I don't know), I used Audacity (version number unkown, but probably rather a newer version > V2.0.0) to record 31 tracks simultaneously, in lets say 10 separate sessions of different lengths, in total probably arou...

Re: Audacity Audio Devices Error
In short, at least one of your audio devices doesn't have proper Windows 10 drivers. This may happen for example if you upgraded to Windows 10 on the same branded computer but did not update the drivers of the built-in audio device from the computer manufacturer's web site. If Windows 10 drivers are...

Re: Multi-channel recording using TASCAM US-20x20
- Wasapi is limited to 96/24. - MME is limited to 2 channels, 44.1 or 48 kHz. - DirectSound is output only. It can record too, in theory, but I've never seen a working setup and I don't know any hardware supporting it. As generalities, all those statements are incorrect. Could you please correct th...

Re: Multi-channel recording using TASCAM US-20x20
I am new to this forum or with this technology. I am working on acoustic signals for my thesis. I need to record 5 microphones at the same time with 129k Hz sampling rate. Presumably you meant 192000 Hz? 129000 Hz is totally non-standard. You cannot always record large numbers of channels at high s...

I changed your username to "shantobis" so removing the e-mail address. You should not expose your address on a public forum because spambots will harvest it.

The most straightforward way IMO is to give the user the direct link to the FAQ: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... tml#ffdown.kozikowski wrote:We sometimes don't do this in the most straightforward way.

Re: Can you get real time echo in Audacity?
The idea was a special button you could press that overdub recorded for twice (or greater) the length of the selection) then stopped and played from the end of the selection. So that would be similar to resting the mouse near the end of the track, start the recording, then pressing "space"...

Re: Senior moment getting past the first 2 lines?
Your cardinal sin may be looking at YouTube. Audacity does not make YouTube videos. Some YouTube videos are wrong or misleading and almost none of them say what version of Audacity they refer to. If you read our Manual http://manual.audacityteam.org you will be able to give us the correct names of ...
