Re: Import Codec: PCM S16 LE (araw)
VLC's codec information is imperfect in my experience. It may be telling you what it decoded it to in order to play it.

Re: SAMSON METEOR - AUDACITY PROBLEM HELP PLEASE
Could you use the webcam mic, if that does not have the problem? Have you tried a different USB port? Have you tried System Restore back to the time when you did not have the problem? Or back up your data and reinstall Windows? Sometimes that really can help when there is no obvious explanation what...

You could compare the metadata for the files to see where the difference lies.

Re: automation plugins for audio
my question is for this: speaking of that Audacity isn't a post-production program, maybe it won't help me that much in case of I want to build a more complex mix like in a song, but perhaps it'll be more useful than other programs in other fields. In addition to this, some friends of mine are inte...

Re: Central location to save plugins from Audacity updates
I see in AppData file pluginsettings.cfg, the parameters for High Pass Filter appear before the first base64 string, which I finally learned (via an online decoder) identifies the Amplify effect. The base64 string for Amplify is followed by a "Ratio" parameter. The same High-Pass Filter p...

Re: No sound when capturing Cassette.
When I try to record from Cassettte to my computer I get no sound So is this a USB cassette player? What is the make and model number? Is the problem that you can record tall blue waves but you cannot hear them? If so, choose your built-in sound card as Playback Device in Audacity's Device Toolbar ...

Re: No sound at all when opening Audacity
I've deleted any source of Wondershare and TunesGo off my computer, restarted my computer, and made sure the program is completely gone, but the problem I'm having is still occurring. Have you been through background processes in Task Manager and checked the Windows Registry? You can find informati...

Re: Connection via phones or line out?
Assuming you want to use Audacity to make the recording, you have to choose the Line-in in Audacity's Device Toolbar . Then, use Audacity's mic slider on Mixer Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/m/images/2/2b/mixertoolbarwithoutinputselect.png to adjust the volume of the Line-In. If you use the...

Re: Convert MP3 to Midi
Audacity does not play MIDI (well, unless you compile it with experimental features).
Audacity's MIDI limitations and lists of useful MIDI applications are here:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Midi.
As Koz said, MP3 to MIDI is hard even for applications that try to do it.
