Re: Compiling Version 2.1.2 For Windows 10 64-Bit w/ASIO Err
I spent the last 3 days to understand and compile wx_dll.sln and audacity.sln and finally was successful this morning to rebuild an Audacity.exe Release with no errors! Yeah! :D It allowed me to record up to 16 tracks with my Saffire ASIO driver. I'm glad you got it going. :) So did you build 2.1.3...

Re: Audacity is already running error and no lock
2.1.2 might solve the problem because it will try to use a different default temporary directory ( /Users/<your username>/Library/Application Support/audacity/SessionData ) than 2.1.1 and earlier. Sorry that part is not correct. We did not make that change for Mac until July, in 2.1.3-alpha. If usi...

Re: Audacity is already running error and no lock
The lock file, if it exists, should be visible in Audacity's temp folder, depending on your Finder settings. The lock file would be visible from a terminal, regardless. Please download the latest Audacity 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/ . 2.1.2 might solve the problem because it wil...

Re: Sound quality issues when recording over pre existing tr
You have straightforward small "dropouts" it seems, where nothing is recorded. This is common on later OS X with Scarlett devices unless you run them in "class-compliant" mode. See this advice from Scarlett https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206849819 . If that doesn...

Re: Bat file to search local Audacity Manual
Thanks, Dick.
Of course if the user runs the script from other than the C:\ drive, it only searches the current directory.
I don't know what to do about that unless you specify C through Z.

Re: AUDACITY DOESN'T RECORD??
I have Windows 10 and I have Audacity for a long time ago. Please tell us which Audacity version you have, all three numbers as requested in the pink panel at the top of the page. Recently I've been recording two times. Now that I'm recording a new one (in the same project) I see that when I finish...

Re: Audacity won't record after I got a new HOSA cable
Sorry that I assumed it was a USB cable despite you gave us a link. A USB device with more appropriate inputs is somewhat preferred as Doug says, assuming you only have a mic input on the computer. Is that all you have? Or do you have a desktop with two inputs, one for mic and another for stronger l...

Re: Evening out the volume on a playlist
Gotcha! Thanks Gale. One more question: when I enter details in Metadata, how can I go back to the previous entry? I can't see an arrow. I inadvertently skipped one track and couldn't figure out how to get to it, other than cancel and start all over again. As the track concerned was number 70 in a ...

Re: Audio shortens in camtasia
Also what version of Audacity are you using? See the pink panel at the top of the page. And what format are you exporting to? Was the original audio recorded by Camtasia?

If they don't have Audacity at all, they won't be able to use the project at all.kozikowski wrote:The poster never said Canada had Audacity at all.
