Re: Allen & Heath QU32 board issues
With the newer version of both programs... Do you mean Xubuntu 16.04 and Audacity 2.1.2? ...I noticed that there is no lag time from when I stop recording to when I can give the file a name and save it. With the older versions, there is considerable lag time: 30 seconds or so. When I click on the s...

Given developers are mostly opposed to expanding Preferences "mostly"? Is this still true? It seems to me that the Developers have started to lean more heavily towards a do-ocracy. For one thing, there's some new blood in the developer's pool. While I realize that, where practical, we nee...

What was the playback problem with MT202pcs in 2.1.3-alpha? "Error opening" again? Is the "Built-in output" in 2.1.3-alpha not your headphones when they are connected? Try Transport > Rescan Audio Devices in the Audacity menu bar if you just connected your headphones while Audaci...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
As I said, I am already in broad agreement with your plan. Thanks for suggesting it. If "Rhythm track" will never at some future time let you generate a varying rhythm within the bar, I still argue it is a (slight) misnomer, but no-one seems to have a better idea of a different word than &...

Steve, I really don't want to waste more time going round in circles about this. Let's use some common sense here, based on our experience of how poorly some users interpret dialogues that popup that the users themselves did not initiate. Some users are naive. I had one a month or so ago, who though...

Re: can't find "Libraries Preferences" to add lame
If you are using a repository 2.1.2 provided by Mint, they have probably already linked MP3 encoding and FFmpeg (or Libav) dynamically to the relevant system libraries. If they do that, they remove the Libraries preferences because they are redundant, and you can just go ahead and export MP3. Have y...

See Managing Audacity Projects.
You must not do any renaming, moving or deleting of either the AUP file, the _data folder, or any of the files in the _data folder.

Also try this http://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man ... ac_crackle
but note that is our work-in-progress Manual for the next release of Audacity, so don't otherwise use that as your help document.

Re: Help with sending full project to someone else
Can anyone tell me if I can transfer this to mycloud have a remote party open whole project and view and manipulate all tracks within the project that I created and work with it as I did on my end? It's best not to work with projects over network connections. It will be slow and there is a chance o...
