Re: Audacity "not responding"
I have several windows open, as I often do, and tried to exit one using the x, as i commonly do, then I got "not responding", a whited screen, and the little spinning ring. Did you have unsaved changes in this project you closed, and did you see and respond to the "Save changes" dialogue? If you we...

Re: How to increase speed of exporting tracks?
most of the tracks I import are 44 If the tracks are really 44 kHz that is totally non-standard. The standard is 44.1 kHz. And if you are asking Audacity to resample from 44000 Hz to 44100 Hz that will add extra time to the export. i have a question about zoom levels. When i import a new file, it j...

Re: Two Sides Recorded Simultaneously
I still don't know what you are referring to when you say to select all the tracks simply because I never seen any tracks either before or after export. Or will the tracks appear somewhere after I click Export Multiple? Where you say that you assumed I still had the tracks visible implies that they...

Re: bit perfect recording
Audacity can't yet pick and choose for example inputs 5 and 6 separately. That would be a "feature request", if you want to vote for that. Probably I need to vote as a "feature request" the list function of all channel of an ASIO driver... We don't count up votes for ASIO support because it is some...

Re: bit perfect recording
If you compile Audacity and you get 546 warnings, it is very difficult to understand if you make something wrong... I agree. Perhaps you could help reduce the number of warnings. I've eliminated 3 from Linux this week, so if they are among the warnings that you get, there's only 543 left to go ;) N...

Re: Audio noise when trying to record a vinyl record to Auda
We SOLVED this using the A method. I would like to explore the possibility of the B method. I am using a NAD 1155 preamp and running 2 NAD 2155 amps utilizing them as mono R&L. If we were to run the turntable through NAD 1155 preamp, In your opinion, what would any advantage be and how would this b...

Re: How to increase speed of exporting tracks?
I assume you meant 44100 Hz (44.1 kHz). If the sample rate of the track differs from the project rate bottom left, resampling will be required and that will slow up exports.saren911 wrote:I am using 16bit 44hz stereo 2 channels

Re: bit perfect recording
- Audacity records only at 16 bit of sample depth with Windows Direct Sound and MME drivers, so I can't record anything @24 bit with these drivers. Correct. As it says on our website : " Record at 24-bit depth on Windows (using Windows WASAPI or Windows DirectSound host), Mac OS X or Linux (using A...

Re: Recording from Internet
I tried this method. Only way the get Audacity to record Internet stream is use "Windows WASAPI" and select Speakers - loopback. However I can't adjust the recording level in Audacity and the recording level is way too low even if I have adjusted the sound level from Internet source to maximum. WAS...
