Re: Crackling/Clicking/Tapping noise on Audio
Please see the link I gave. The solution is almost certainly to do with sample rates. They are either mismatched, or too high, or perhaps you need to increase "Audio to buffer" in Audacity's Recording Preferences. Also the Audio Host chosen in Device Toolbar can make a difference. MME is m...

Re: Fit Selection & EQ bugs (in case ya didnt know)
Thanks for the reports. It is better to post bug reports in the board for your operating system, not in "Feedback and Reviews". This is so even if the bug turns out to apply to all operating systems. If we had a bug reporting board it would be different, but a lot of bug reports made are n...

Re: Volume adjustments

Are you singing or playing to a track already in Audacity? Audacity has Mixer Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/m/images/2/2b/m...

Re: Problem with second track
Why are you overdubbing when you are recording computer playback? There may be a better way to do whatever you are trying to do. If you are overdubbing you should normally use a microphone recording device to sing or play an instrument. WASAPI host is prone to a dropout (which may sound like a click...

We can't deal with multiple people with different equipment and operating systems in in the same topic, so I started a new topic for you in the Windows board. Are you certain the noises are in the recording or is it Audacity playback? If the noises are in different places each time you play the reco...

Re: NEED HELP - Automatic Crash Recovery!
The link I posted https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295 shows you how to reset SMC. You should definitely run Disk Utility. Open a Finder window, click Applications in the sidebar, double-click the Utilities folder, and double-click Disk Utility to open it. Use the "First Aid" option in...

Re: Exporting for Mixing
Mix and Render of a region seems more of a fringe feature to me. Would you (Steve) find it useful? Yes, quite often, but more importantly, it would provide a simple way to accommodate the needs of both those that want leading white-space rendered as silence, and those that want to omit leading whit...

Re: Audacity audio position marker visibility help?
Nothing got attached. 2.0.5 is extremely old. It could be the reason for your vertical scale issue. You could uninstall 2.0.5 and install the 2.1.2 Ubuntu Handbook PPA . Does the below help? Gale <html> <body> <img src="ImageCache.png" usemap="#map1"> <map name="map1"> ...
