Re: Removing Envelope Control Points
The error is "no return statement". It does work in current Audacity if you replace "s" with return s You can always Edit > Undo envelope points while the project is open. Although it is hard work, you can also drag envelope points out of the track to remove them. Gale

Re: Volume adjustments
That should be fine then. See the previous answer. You can monitor your performance without delay in AudioBox if you want to.Dude 1 wrote:Doing voiceover work using just one mic.
If any more problems come up please tell us exactly what you are trying to do that you can't do.

Re: back to default settings?
The tutorial said aim for 6 db Aim when recording for -6 dB. 0 dB is the maximum without distortion. That is what Amplify gives you if you just click OK. Anything over 0 dB is distortion. I'm not sure where that number is reflected While recording you can see the numbers in Meter Toolbar . After re...

Re: Crackling/Clicking/Tapping noise on Audio
Well, problem solved. I uninstalled Audacity and reinstalled it...everything's fine. It was getting very frustrating, as I checked every setting I could find. In fact, after I adjusted the record and playback volume controls, it sounded REALLY bad, for some reason. But it all works as it should now...

Re: Problem with second track
Hi Michael, I tried unchecking the Exclusive boxes in the control panel and there is no difference. OK. Audacity's WASAPI support is still fairly experimental in that it has not been improved much since first implemented. When you said "Drag" the videos into Audacity - remember, I'm blind,...

Re: Export Multiple | Track-Tags (Id3) | don't ask for tags
It is important that we solve the dual problems of how to turn off writing of metadata, and how to make it easy for those who want common metadata for each track to enter it only once ( http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=551 ). Steve and I thrashed this out and I think we have a plan h...

Re: audacity wont open
Thanks for telling us you had solved the problem.
You should reboot frequently, especially on older versions of Windows.
If you are using any USB audio devices that could be the reason. USB devices can "lock up" and cease to respond. Rebooting is the answer.

Re: I cant get audacity to record?
You could perhaps try restoring your computer to a previous Restore Point if you have System Restore turned on. Have you looked in Device Manager to see if there any yellow exclamation marks against USB controllers? Or you could back up your data and reinstall Windows. Or even try upgrading to Windo...

Re: Error Importing Audio from Video Files
If you can share an example file that fails, for example on Dropbox, we could take a look at it.
