Re: Upgraded to 2.1.2 and cannot monitor or adjust input vol
To export MP3, you have to add LAME http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame if you do not already have a compatible LAME version. To export MP4 you have to add FFmpeg http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown . To export, use File...

Re: Upgraded to 2.1.2 and cannot monitor or adjust input vol
I posted too soon. The level does not appear to change by going to Windows Sound. I must have put on a quieter record the first time. I am back to pinning the meters and distortion. I have the input for my 'Microphone Array' at 10 out of 100, and it has not lowered in volume. However, when I am in ...

Re: Recording from USB mixer no longer working
Also please describe the problem in more detail. Do you just record a flat line, or does the red recording cursor hang in one place?

Re: Error Importing Audio from Video Files
On Windows, would it be worth looking in Audacity's "Help menu > Show Log" for this sort of problem? The log will report details of whether FFmpeg loaded, but you can see that more easily from the Libraries Preferences. From the error that appears, Audacity seems not to be recognising FFm...

Re: recorded track plays back double speed
You could open Windows Sound , Recording tab, right-click over Zoom, choose "Properties" then the "Advanced" tab. Make sure Default Format is 44100 Hz, Exclusive Mode boxes unchecked. Repeat the process on the Playback tab for the Zoom playback Default Format. Restart Audacity an...

Re: Upgraded to 2.1.2 and cannot monitor or adjust input vol
Did previous Audacity work on Windows 10? i think my inputs and outputs are correct, they are just like it was before in 1.something. You could post the contents of Help > Audio Device Info... top right of Audacity then we can see what you have. Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum....

Re: Export Audio Problems
If you get a problem like that, drag the exported audio back into Audacity and see if it has tall blue waves. If it does, then the default Windows playback device may have changed, perhaps because you connected a USB device which took over playback: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_playback.ht...

Thanks. Given we can't reproduce the problem, it's only background information, unless we can understand in what way your system is different. Do you also get tubegeek's issue that Finder's Get Info gives you a different version number than Audacity > About Audacity...? Gale Bumping this old thread ...

Re: Mixer control on PreSonus AudioBox
Audacity doesn't record from remote computers.
Turn off Transport > Software Playthrough in Audacity then it won't send the input to the output.
You can choose Audacity playback and recording device in Device Toolbar.

Re: SoundcloudGroups
Actually, that was why I suggested contacting them.steve wrote:SouncloudGroups hint in their blog that they want to develop their own form of "groups" using the SoundCloud platform.
I know they are no use to us at the moment.would you like to create and run your own group?
