Re: Can I restore a previous save point?

Due to glitching when a file becomes to big I export it, feed it back in to audacity and then resume work. I can only record my music when my neighbors are not home, so to get as much work done as possible in the time I have I often move to the next version before the previous one is perfected and ...

It is not too old, but it is still old. We recommend the current Audacity 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows.

Re: Can't find project data folder

You are not on MacOS as the topic poster was, so I split this and the previous two posts to a new topic. I'm having the same problem. Ive been through all these forums and manuals and they all seem to point to the data folder and the project file being in the same folder... I've done this... still d...

Re: Last 20 min is only cliping in exported wav

What exactly you are recording with exactly what equipment? Makes and model numbers of the equipment and details of how it connects to your computer are good. If you open Effect > Amplify... on a clipped section without applying the effect, what values does it give? Some older versions of Audacity c...

Re: Converting .webm to mp3 audio file

OK, I installed Lame back in 9/2015. I tried opening the webm file in Audacity and got the error message that Audacity does not recognize webm – to try importing as Raw Data. All LAME does is let you export MP3 files. Import Raw Data is only for uncompressed audio data, not for videos. To import WE...

You have to set the sample rate in Windows too. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_ ... .html#sync (scroll down a little in that question).

Re: No volume on CD burned from audio file

I am curious though why when I'm recording a new project it says my audio track is being recorded at 44100HZ with 32 bit float. 32-bit float is just the way the data is stored. 32-bit float gives you more dynamic range, more accuracy if making lots of edits affecting the amplitude of the samples an...

Re: Timer Record Not Working

I reset the time and date by clicking the bottom right time which opened the calendar and then clicking time and date settings. From there I manually set the date and time. I've subsequently switched back to "automatic" update of time and date in Win 10. I also reinstalled again and wiped...

Re: Can you get real time echo in Audacity?

I have moved this to "Adding Features" as it is a feature request we have had before. So have you counted this vote yet Gale - and can I archive this? I've recorded a vote for what I think would come closest and easiest to what weiss24 was asking for. Not macro support (which Steve has al...
