Re: Setting up Track Numbers for audio CD, flash drive, etc.

You could set both titles and track numbers starting at 01 then all cases are covered for an MP3 player.

Ideally you would give people WAV's for burning to Audio CD, and in that case you could provide a Cue sheet for your users to burn from which will set the playing order.

Re: Audacity keeps crashing/hanging when I try to record w/m

Also, you did not tell us your Audacity version (see the pink panel at the top of the page). Most recent versions of Audacity on Mac have a few bugs for various reasons, but for purposes of recording you are probably best off using the latest 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac . Re: Transport Toolbar only has a pause button!

Try reinstalling 2.1.2 from us and choose "Reset Preferences" half way through installation. When you launch Audacity, confirm that you want to reset preferences.

Re: Help recovering a recording (missing .aup)

Most people should be using the latest 2.1.2 version from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows which has the latest bug fixes. I took about an hour of stereo recording today, as i've made many times before. But today, while saving the project, an error message occurred and audacity crashed, ...

Re: Audacity hung on recording

Did you reboot the computer?

If you are not using Skype, turn it off while recording.

If you are recording Skype with Audacity, don't. Try http://atdot.ch/scr/download/.

Re: Audacity mute after installing new driver

This is nothing to do with recording system sounds so I started a mew topic for you. If you really have Audacity 2.12 that is not made by us. Have a look at Help > About Audacity... for the number. If it says 2.12, uninstall it, run a full anti-virus check then download Audacity 2.1.2 from http://ww...
