Re: Audacity is Skipping in my Recordings! Help!

only Audacity and my recording software is open What is the other recording software exactly? Is that recording game sounds? Have you rebooted the computer yet? Are you sure you have the latest OS X 10.11.6? The first El Capitan and some other versions have serious USB problems. Note that on Mac, y...

Re: Waveform reaches max?

Try out recording in GarageBand as well. If you actually have copyright holders' permission to record, then you may as well research if y...

Re: Read directly or Make a Copy?

1. If the original file is on the same computer, can I open it by "Read the Files directly from the original" option with no problems? You are not opening the file. Audacity is reading data from the file where it is. So don't delete, move or rename the file. If you export over the same fi...

Re: Windows 10 "Could not find any audio devices" solved

The Audacity that I had in my computer was Audacity 2.1.2.0. That's not an official Audacity version number. It is, as long as you don't actually see it in "Help > About Audacity...", and as long as the last number is zero. You can see that four digit number if you hover over audacity.exe...

Re: Unexpectedly Quits during DAT transfer

Where did you obtain 2.1.2 from? Is it an old debug build of 2.1.2-alpha?

Debug builds might crash at an assert where a release configuration build might continue.

Re: RIFFT€..WAVEfmt - any ideas about format/transcoding?

According to https://wiki.multimedia.cx/index.php?title=XMA , XMA is the audio container for the Xbox 360 console. It is some kind of packed WMA. Audacity's Raw Import won't open it. Your best chance seems to be to find a source to download ToWAV. We can't help you with that. You may need to use xma...

Re: usb stereo

1. under listen selected usb audio, 2 under advanced settings found that you can set ch and bit resolution. It was in mono. Changing Default Format on the "Advanced" tab was what you needed to change, as it says in the FAQ. You should uncheck "Listen to this device" or you will ...
