Koz

You did not lose me. I apparently not allowed to respond to private messages
That is because you were not yet a fully established user. You can now reply to Koz's private message if you want.

Re: Export Selected function problem

I indeed used MP3 as export format. I haven't tried WAV yet (fully lossless) but when I do this on Logic Pro, it will first bounce as a WAV and then convert the file to .MP3, leaving zero "sloppiness". Perhaps this is something to look into as for future updates? Please see this link: htt...

Re: total loss of sound data

It wasn't a 'file' under check dependencies, but a folder, and did I want to create that? I click the create button – waited – and then did a search for it which turned up nothing. I was talking about the menu item "Check Dependencies..." in Audacity's File Menu. You can read this link to...

Re: Moving ONLY a selected part of a track (not the whole tr

When I select a part of a voice recording and use the time shift tool, it moves the whole track instead. I'm trying to move a part of the speech to another part of speech. I've also tried clicking inside the selection using the time shift tool, which does the same thing. Clicking and dragging insid...

Re: Multiple export without changing metadata

I speak of the metadata editing. That is exactly what I replied about. You did not mention the problem was about already existing metadata, so I assumed your question was about writing metadata when there was none. Audacity only stores one set of metadata for each project, which is the metadata for...

Re: Multiple export without changing metadata

Enter the Artist Name metadata before exporting, at File > Edit Metadata Tags..., then that field will be filled with the same Artist name when each metadata window appears during export. The Track Title metadata is automatically filled in each metadata window according to the labels (if you export ...

Re: Stereo Track to Mono Not Working

Thanks, but I can't reproduce anything like this following an approximation of your steps, 1 mono file and 1 stereo file, both 2 hours 20 minutes. Do you align the tracks using Time Shift Tool (F5)? I aligned both tracks to start a few seconds right of time zero. I tried deleting either the left or ...

Re: Audacity suddenly won't open

I decided to switch to AntiX, partly because I really need Audacity, partly to get a bit more speed. As such, I added the KXStudio repositories and the current version I have of Audacity is 2.0.6. It works fine, except that the input/output devices don't include the dropdown windows, so I have to g...

Re: No sound with HDMI

Did you try the ideas I suggested to you on [email protected]? 1 Play audio in QuickTime before playing in Audacity. 2 Reselect the HDMI output in the Mac's System Preferences before playing in Audacity. Also look at the Denon help to see if it is set up to accept a stereo (2 channel) signal. As I explained...
