Re: Audacity suddenly won't open
It's built with 2.0.6-2 Is this a stable version? If so, I'm happy with using it as is. 2.0.6-2 is the internal Audacity version number. As I said, you can check the wxWidgets version at Help > About Audacity..., then click the "Build Information" tab. The wxWidgets version is listed unde...

Re: Multiple export without changing metadata
They are mp3 files. I'll explain, I want to improve the sound of my music passing from 128 kbps to 320 kbps. If that's all you are doing, sorry, I don't know why your metadata is getting changed.... The metadata is being changed in Audacity's metadata editor because the project only holds metadata ...

Re: Audacity becomes completely unresponsive
Ericcartman only has 2GB of RAM. This is not enough to work with long audiobooks on OS X 10.7 and later. See our system requirements.
On top of that, Audacity can get very slow fitting and zooming projects containing more than an hour of audio.

So did you receive the noise on your friend's computer?
Can you post an audio sample of the noise?

Re: Scarlett pod farm audacity not recording amp models
The Line6 GX interface is made by the same people as PodFarm. It is possible it has a pathway to include the effects in the signal being sent to the computer. As far as I can see 2i2 so has no way to insert effects coming from somewhere else.

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
Yes, we saw you already on [email protected]. We already counted your "vote". What exactly are you looking at when you import a file? Is Audacity the only application you can use for that? Perhaps we can find another application you can use. You are not an experienced Audacity support person as fa...

Re: TEAC TN300 TURNTABLE COMPATABILITY
There is only one pair of settings that will work - USB Audio CODEC as the Audacity recording device and Built-in output as Audacity playback device. Connect the turntable before you launch Audacity. Software Playthrough should work if you press the Red record button. If you want to hear without rec...

Re: Multiple export without changing metadata
Audacity only stores one set of metadata for each project, which is the metadata for the last file that you imported. There is no solution, other than to change the metadata by hand when exporting, or import one file per project window using File > Open... . Unfortunately many files and then I find...

Re: After a restart, .aup files do not open *Manual Recovery
What version of Audacity are you using, for example, 2.1.2? Please see the pink panel at the top of the page. Lately when I reach a certain checkpoint with an Audacity project (ex:/xyz.aup) , I can no longer open the last-saved project after a restart. Instead I get the following message inside an E...
