Well, Foobar2000 does, but VLC not, on a quick test on Windows 10.

If I was interested in this, I would use a Hex Editor like HxD to examine the original and WaveGain saved files. HxD can diff the files and show you what changed in the WaveGain file. Please start by telling us what version of Audacity you are using (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page). If you are using a really old 2.0.x version of Audacity it might create this noise if you have tracks offset from time zero. So update to 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityte...

Make sure you are connecting the UFO to the computer with the USB cable, not red and white UFO outputs to the mic port of the computer. Set the UFO to Line Input, not phono.
