Re: Audacity 2.1.2 & Win7 64bit, Bug with toolbars
We are not explicitly aware of it on Windows. There was an issue like it on Linux where Device Toolbar would not fit alongside other single-height toolbars because it was too tall, but we only fixed that for Linux. I can fit Device Toolbar alongside other single-height toolbars on Windows 10 in 2.1....

Re: upgrade questions
Did the pointer thing change then? I don't see mention of that in the release notes. In the past, the vertical bar was always the cursor but now, I have a finger pointer. You get the finger pointer when you hover over the editing cursor or over a selection edge. If you click and drag where there is...

Re: Can not convert corrupted autosave file to XML
By the way, a couple of users have said that Audacity is more stable on Ubuntu-Mate than Raspbian Jessie.

Re: Can not convert corrupted autosave file to XML
I am right, that the edited file has to be at this directory on Linux systems? /.audacity-data/AutoSave/ Yes, but I thought you were trying to recover on Mac? On Mac the AUTOSAVE file is stored at ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/AutoSave. Just to clarify, you missed the tilde off that path. ...

Re: Can not convert corrupted autosave file to XML
I'm trying to recover on my Raspbian Pi Whether part of the problem or not, I must stress that Audacity does not yet support Pi operating systems. We are clear about this on our site. There are no unusual characters in the project so it should be possible to move the project to Mac. The only other ...

Re: Can not convert corrupted autosave file to XML
Unfortunately both of your proposals failed. I still get the "Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 30675". But thank you for having a look into it. You have not apparently downloaded the corrected file I attached in my previous post. Please try that. I am right, that the edited ...

Re: audacity 2.1.2 - clipping bar not working
Also see http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/mete ... #annotated - the Meter Toolbar clipping indicator only comes on for four or more consecutive clipped samples.

Re: Popping sound on all my recordings
Try How can I prevent clicky recordings on Mac OS X?. But that is working content for the next Audacity 2.1.3 Manual, so don't read any other content there.

Re: Audacity 2.1.2
I guess i should use the same method if i want to record sounds from the audio input eg if i connect a syntesizer to audio in....? Do you have a tower computer with separate Line In (blue) and microphone inputs? If you do have a separate Line-In, you can set the Audacity recording device to Line-In...

Re: Can not convert corrupted autosave file to XML
I forgot the attachment and couldn't edit. Here it is. You've got the last line as: </recordingr</project> Either of these should work at the end of the file: </recordingrecovery> </project> </recordingrecovery> AUTOSAVE files became binary with the 2.1.1 Release. OK I will mention this in the Manu...
