Re: opening recorded files
You simply have to go File > Save Project and save to a permanent location. If you save again e.g. between a break in recording just use File > Save Project again to update the same project. Audacity does the rest, creating the .aup and the _data folder with all the .au files inside. Try searching y...

Re: Program Runs Slow or Crashes After Using "Find Clipping"
Hi WC- Uninstalling (by any method) does not remove the Windows registry settings (1.2.x) or the .cfg file (1.3.x). Those need deleting manually. We'll make a note to look out for problems after running "find clipping" when we do further testing. I was using it a lot recently though withou...

Re: Sound Delay Issue
Turn off "Software Playthrough" as by definition that has delay as the sound is processed through the computer. Turn on "play other tracks while recording new one" right by it, then unmute the line-in as a playback device in the Windows control panel. If it works, that should hav...

Re: Change sample rate doesn't work
The added silence that you get exporting WAV and AIFF when the track and project rates don't match is fixed in 1.3.4. If you want to export the 48000 Hz files at 44100 Hz, changing the project rate to 44100 Hz is correct. This affects playback, mixing and export and does not change the speed or lengt...

Re: Command Line Export Option doesn't works anymore in 1.3.
Can you be a little more specific for us please. Are you building from the 1.3.4 tarball or CVS? Are you performing exactly the same operation that you were in 1.3.3? What is the precise command you are typing into the "Specify Command Line Encoder" dialogue box, and what version of what a...

Re: Mac 1.0.0 and Windows (Transferring)
For anyone else who reads this, here's a summary of the restrictions on opening projects on other computers which use different versions of Audacity or are on different operating systems:

Re: Stereo to mono
Thanks for the reports. It seems to be already fixed in the source code, so won't occur in 1.3.5 when released. When you make both channels mono, you may well have to reduce the gain of each on the Track Panel, otherwise the combined result may distort. For others who want to go stereo > mono and do...

Re: Lag problems
Try turning off Software Playthrough on the Audio I/O tab of Preferences (this always has latency) and instead unmute line-in in the Playback section of the Windows Control Panel (so you are playing directly through the hardware). Try reducing the audio to buffer in the Audio I/O tab of Audacity Pre...
