Re: Focusrite interface & Realtek builtin mic recognized, no
You don't say what version of Audacity you have - see the pink panel at the top of the page. I recommend the current Audacity 2.1.2 release from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows . You have to choose the correct recording device in Audacity's Device Toolbar and turn the recording volume u...

Re: Recording devices volume constantly resets itself to zer
So I'm using Audacity 2.1.2 with Windows 10. I"ve been using it with a Behringer U-Control UCA222. I've been using this combination for almost two years and never had a problem. Now, for some reason, I can't get a recording volume that stays put. When I go to the volume mixer and unmute the sp...

Re: SACD DSF can't open
You can't use the latest (git) FFmpeg with Audacity on Windows to import DSF files. The latest version you can use to import files is FFmpeg 2.3. FFmpeg 2.2.2 from http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown cannot import DSF files. FFmpeg 2.3 can do so, which you ca...

Re: Help with Plugins - macOS Sierra
The next thing both of you could try is to see if the 2.1.3-alpha Nightly Build has the same issue: http://www.audacity.homerow.net/index.php?dir=mac/audacity-nightly-2016.10.07-06.00-2add979/&file=audacity-macosx-2.1.3-2add979.zip . Be sure to quit 2.1.2 before running 2.1.3-alpha. If that does...

Re: Help with Plugins - macOS Sierra
I have attached the support file. Thanks, but there is not anything in it that explains why there is a problem. I see that an entry like this which should be there: [pluginregistry/Module/base64\:TW9kdWxlX19UaGUgQXVkYWNpdHkgVGVhbV9OeXF1aXN0IEVmZmVjdHNf] Path= Symbol=Nyquist Effects Name=Nyquist Eff...

Put a checkmark by all the items. Any items that are unchecked are not included in the report.poseidan wrote:Are the plugins registry and plugins settings at the Support Data meant to be unchecked / unticked?

Re: Empty Project Files When Recovered
Ok, here's the log from me trying to import the one file that I recovered that didn't turn up as 0 kilobytes. If you File > Import > Audio... an AUP file you will receive an error. If you are already using File > Open... as you say, then that message means that the AUP file is corrupted. If you alr...

Re: Help with Plugins - macOS Sierra
I also have just performed a clean install of OS X 10.12 (sierra) and have re installed audacity 2.1.2. It now appears that Audacity doesn't see the plug in folder at all. I have trashed the folder from application support and reinstalled as per the above advice. None of the plug-ins from the plug-...

Re: 2.1.2 Click Track Option Missing
Please see here for how to install Audacity so that it finds Nyquist plugins: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 47&t=75660.
If that does not help, open Audacity > Preferences..., Effects section, and ensure the "Nyquist" item is checked off (ticked).

You did not say what Audacity version you had and where you got it from. You can obtain the current 2.1.2 version from us here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac .
