Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
If the developpers of audacity want some help in testing new accessibility options and keystrokes, I'd be glad to help. Hi Maurimol, Thanks for offering. Did you want me to create an account for you on the Manual Wiki, so you could edit it, as suggested by Steve: http://www.audacityteam.org/manual/...

Re: Menus greyed out after cancelling effect
Thanks, Ben. Leland (one of our Mac developers) has in fact seen menus greyed out after applying some effects (in 1.3.6), so I'll add it to our system for tracking issues so we don't lose sight of it.benr82 wrote:I'm on PPC, and have just one project window open. Ben

Re: Using multiple mics
Hi Andy That's very interesting - thanks. I think we should add that to our Wiki page on recommended sound devices: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Recommended_sound_devices You're on Vista aren't you? The web page for the product doesn't mention Vista, as is often the case. Can't help ...

Re: Menus greyed out after cancelling effect
update: I just encountered the same problem with the recent build of 1.3.6, but *after* applying the effect (noise reduction).doesn't anybody else experience this? - Benr82 I don't think we are aware of this in 1.3.6. Are you on Intel or PPC architecture, and do you have one main project window ope...

Re: To update or not to update, that is the question!
<<<being a little unfair to the developers too>>> I know how this works. Developer/programmers hate deadlines. Not having them is one of the pleasant features of self-directed projects. However, the down side of that is infinite feature creep and patch leapfrogging. While the program daddies are bu...

Re: input output simultaneous record
It's difficult to record VoIP (internet) calls with Audacity (or with other recording programs which use the soundcard) because you need to record both sides of the conversation simultaneously: a) the microphone input and b) the computer output, and most sound cards (and Audacity) can only record on...

Re: Waveform not centred
Hi, I have Ubuntu Hardy Heron and Audacity 1.3.4. I'm recording my vinyl record to copy them onto CDs. Today I noticed something that had never happened before: Normally waveforms are centred on the zero line of the dB scale. Well, now, although the right channel is centred, the left one is slightl...

Re: Mixer Toolbar
Please read: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues That explains that you can set your input source in the Windows Control Panel or in the Realtek Control Panel if it has one. The Mixer Toolbar selector is just a convenience. Note that many interfaces don't show separate ...
