Re: 100% cpu usage
There were a lot of changes, so it may be fixed now, but the changes won't be propagated down till the new alpha on the 18th. Actually you could help us sooner by trying one of the nightly builds here: http://www.audacity.homerow.net/index.php?dir=mac%2F A build dated the 10th August or later from ...

Re: Audacity Crashed - recovered manually
If you have Audacity 1.2.x and if you did just start-Record-Stop-crash (or nearly that) you are in the same situation I was once. You might consider to repeat what I did: Put this files inside a similar project. Details: Backup copy your original files from temp View your the files - all files are ...

Re: Application error crashes in Vista
I think Audacity should not crash and I tend to think there would be a related bug. I've never tried, but do you have another editor on your machine that that can play 64 tracks? Or can play 5 out of 64? You can select tracks you want to play, and play them. But I cannot find how. (If it would be p...

Re: marking in and out points???
The selection region is the ready-made in an out (left edge in, right edge out). Click and drag to make the selection. SHIFT + left or right arrow to expand the region, CTRL + SHIFT + left or right to contract the region. Shortcut "B" plays from/to the mouse cursor if it's inside the regio...

Re: Clipfix (see waveform pic) - plugins available?
I didn't see it underneath the divider. I installed v 1.3.5 over the previous beta (in the same Audacity 1.3 directory). When I checked the Plugins folder, I didn't see the clipfx.ny file, so I downloaded it separately and put it in my Plugins folder. When I re-opened Audacity, it was there in the ...

Re: Application error crashes in Vista
Soloing the tracks and playing short sections does help slightly , but not nearly so much as not having that number of tracks. And I'm sorry silence does need to be there if that's what you have - does deleting the silence help, so you have shorter tracks? It ought to. And how far are your computer ...

Re: Clipfix (see waveform pic) - plugins available?
Hello. New to the forum but I had a question... I just downloaded and installed Audacity v1.3.5 (beta) but do not see ClipFix under the Effects menu. Am I looking in the wrong place? It's underneath the divider in the Effect menu along with High Pass, Low Pass etc. If there is nothing under the div...

Re: click track removal
I'm using the click track during recording of an electric guitar. After I've finished recording, the the click track is included in the recording. Is there any way to eight remove the click track or prevent it from being recorded with the guitar in the first place? Change the input source in the Mi...

Re: 100% cpu usage
I read in the developer mailling list (I'm no subscriber so I can't respond there) about a "exporting silence" bug: Have you checked if you have turned off dither? I get no noise when turning dither off (when exporting 16 bit wav). Hi George - you're quite right the dither (the point of w...

Re: Audacity Crashed - recovered manually
You could have used one of our crash recovery tools to reconstruct all the au files automatically: http://audacityteam.org/help/faq?s=files&i=crash-recovery When you exited last night you saved a project, is that correct, and now you are re-opening that project? Have you got all the original au ...
