Re: 1.3.5 will not capture audio from line-in
The card is a SoundBlaster Live! 1024. If one version works (1.3.3), and the successor doesn't (1.3.4), the problem is within the coding of the successor (?). Updating my drivers? Umm...sorry, don't think so. There's a wise old saying; If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The problem lies within Audaci...

Re: Intel Macbook frozen recording
Thanks for the information. It's quite well known zooming out to the whole length of recording helps prevent "lack of resources" issues when recording (which can result in dropouts or freezes). See: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Managing_Computer_Resources_and_Drivers The re...

Re: Can't use Noise Removal any more.
There would appear to be some reason Audacity can't write the noisegate file that contains the profile; it's possible it's some kind of permissions problem. Did you make any permissions changes around the time the problem started? Trash all your versions of Audacity and trash both the 1.2 and 1.3 se...

Re: 1.3.5 will not capture audio from line-in
If there is a problem which only occurs with recording it's almost always an incompatibility with the sound device - is it motherboard sound or some make of PCI card? As always, updating your sound device drivers is recommended: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Updating_Sound_Device_Driv...

Re: can't record on disk. The only way I can get LP records
Hi I presume you are sorted out now - if not you can click on the envelope icon to right of this message (under my user name) and e-mail me. We can't phone. Audacity is a group of volunteers working remotely from their own computers. Many of us are in the UK. I removed your phone number for your own...

Re: Deploy MSI file?
There is not really enough "demand" for an MSI installer at present but there is another solution here to automatically install Audacity on multiple computers:

Re: Error compiling CVS version
Hi You may need extra options so that the new directories added to CVS for 1.3.6 get added to your local tree. See: http://n2.nabble.com/Re%3A-Fwd%3A-Eee-compilation-td1121576.html As another alternative you could try configure --without all the new libraries liblrdf libscorealign portsmf raptor ras...

Re: TKs Taskbar Freeze Fix
If you double-click on the top of window bar, it will minimize it (mac style). Where are you double-clicking to minimise? Double-clicking the Title bar (where it says "Audacity" at the top) would normally maximise/restore the window on XP. By default, anyway, I think... Another way of avo...
