...And needless to say, select the audio you want to apply the effect to first, which sounds as if it's the problem.

Re: Can't install ffmpeg import/export
This problem is caused by the checking routines which determine if the FFmpeg library is shared or static. These require a file called dbghelp.dll which is normally missing on Windows 2000 and earlier. Until we decide how to fix it in the code, I've uploaded the dll here: http://www.gaclrecords.org....

Re: mp3:too fast..
Can you explain me, in simple words (if possible, because I fear it's a complicated thing) what's the tecnical difference in using a different frequence? I mean 44100 Hz or the other ones? which things does it change? I'm glad you got the exported MP3 at the correct length/speed. Digital sound work...

Re: mp3:too fast..
It seems there is a more general current problem with the recent v3.98 lame_enc.dll. I can immediately reproduce the problem in Audacity 1.2.6 or 1.3.6 using v3.98 as obtained about a week ago from Rarewares. This appears to be a very recent issue though, because I did have a v3.98 obtained about 6 ...

I think the current problem is with the recent v3.98 lame_enc.dll. I can immediately reproduce the problem in Audacity 1.2.6 or 1.3.6 using v3.98 as obtained about a week ago from Rarewares. However I also think this problem is very recent, because I did have a v3.98 obtained about 6 weeks ago from ...

Re: Error 4880 when burning CDs in iTunes
The user sent me another e-mail after the PM's, and told me he 'phoned Radio Shack and they told him the answer "straight away", which was to lower the burn speed from 48x to 24x. In iTunes that's done by opening the iTunes Preferences (under "Edit" on Windows or under "iTun...

Re: mp3:too fast..
The usual reason is playing the exported MP3s in a flash-based player that can't cope with MP3s which have a sample rate that isn't a multiple of 11025: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Lame_Installation#Exported_MP3_plays_too_fast Please export the MP3 at 44100 Hz (set in the project ra...

Re: Does ffmpeg feature not work on Mac?
If you haven't seen it, there is a link here that might help (at least it does not suggest you have to install a string of dependencies separately):

I'll see if I can find someone else to help here with this.

Re: Vocal range recognition plugin effect- pls help
Wat do you mean i'll compile it to "win" folder? You don't compile to "win" folder. What I was saying is that if you are on Windows, the easiest way to find out how to compile Audacity is to read compile.txt inside the "win" folder in the source code, that is, this fil...

Re: Vocal range recognition plugin effect- pls help
Ah ok.. thanks for the idea. What about a recorded voice as an input, can this be considered as an pre-existing track? Yes, once the track has been recorded and is static, an effect can be run on it. Anyway, I may ask, how and where can i compile the codes? Check out the latest Beta/development cod...
