Re: Does ffmpeg feature not work on Mac?
might be a stupid question, but when i click on Find Library in the FFmpeg preference section of Audacity 1.3.6a6, I cannot go to the folder where FFmpeg was installed: /usr/local/lib/audacity How do I point it there, as it doesn't show up? Also, of the several files in that folder, which is the co...

Re: Vista Playback Default Format and Audacity
Thanks for the screenshots. I am not sure of the scenario where things sound better for you, but: if the "normal" activity you want to do is import 44100 Hz files, then a kludge workaround is to launch Audacity not by clicking its executable, but by opening a 48000 Hz silent file with a su...

Re: Does ffmpeg feature not work on Mac?
The File Version should be 1.3.7.0. Can you be specific as to the steps in Finder where it shows Audacity as 1.3.6?macbuz wrote:the Audacity Application inside the 1.3.7a Folder still checks in as 1.3.6 in the finder.

Re: Certain Keys fail to work in Labels
...sometimes certain keys seem like they are thinking that I have the "Apple" key pressed when I'm typing in a Track Label. For example, if I want to type "Breakdown Dead Ahead" in a track label, the Brea types fine, but then the k wants to delete something! I've seen this with ...

Re: Shortcuts conflicts with entering label text
i'm running 1.3.5b with Slackware 12.1 using KDE Desktop. Entering label text is a strain and can sometimes only be done by modifying the text inside the exported labels file. The reason for this are conflicts between shortcut characters (j, z, 8, 9 ...) and letters meant as text. Sometimes it isn't...

Re: Vista Playback Default Format and Audacity
I suppose it's "possible" the new Vista audio stack has problems we don't know about yet, though if there have been playback or recording problems in the past with Audacity on Vista, switching from 1.2.6 to 1.3.6 has tended to cure them. The concept of a "default format" is compl...

Re: 1.3.6 Click Removal and Export Multiple?
Thanks Paul. It seems you've uncovered a bug there - if you change the "add label at playback position" shortcut to an unmodified character, the second time you use the shortcut when playing or recording, the label will be placed where you started the playback or recording (not necessarily...

Re: 1.3.6 Click Removal and Export Multiple?
...still one remark: in [Export Multiple], you still get the option [Include audio before first label]. Isn't this a bit reduntant, because the first label is now [MR] by default? I don't think "Include audio before first label" is redundant, in fact we have just made a fix so that it isn...

Re: Testers needed - Considering "fix" for CTRL and CMD fias
One other item. Gale's been solving file export issues with me in 1.3.6x and you've been stamping out structural issues in 1.3.7x. That's why I've been keeping two clean partitions. Shouldn't y'all be in the same build? Is that how you're keeping the different patches straight? Then merge later. Ac...

Re: USB Driver not installing
I have un-installed and reinstalled the Audacity software. When I go to the XP control Panel and select Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices, the Audio tab does not list the AK5371 under any dropdown, either the playback or recording. It is listed under the Hardware tab, however when selected I am info...
